R.I.P How To Play music

SOURCE?

Also what happened between the end of last thread and this new thread? How are we already at over 1,000 posts?

I'm not saying I believe it or not. It's all speculation. -IF- Ice Climbers went solo, I trust Sakurai could make it work. Although I agree, they're so special as a pair.

It doesn't matter how special they are, it's a decision they have to make themselves. If they honestly believe it can't work out between them and they'll be happier on their own, who are you to stop them from separating?

Though it is still kind of sad, I mean, they were together for 13 years...

I guess in theory the potd updates could already be planned ahead so that the translations and pics can go up in all languages at the same time?

But it's also worth noting that the extremely text-dense update we got last Friday with the music update was several hours late. Which, if all the text had to be translated for every site, would explain the enormous delay.

Hm, I don't remember. But I think all the vets available in the demo were pretty popular choices anyway, so I don't think it'll be one of them. I'm thinking it'll either be a clone (like Roy) or a Brawl newcomer (like Lucario) (sorry Vuapol)

No problem man, I'm not the thought police. One of my first Pokemon experiences was Diamond, so what Charizard, Pikachu, Mewtwo and the rest of the original 151 are to those who grew up with Red and Blue, Lucario is to me. Not a big deal.

R.O.B., who is Duck Hunt's equivalent in Brawl, was not the final unlock. The final unlock in Vs. Matches is Wolf, and Wolf's Non-SSE, Non-Vs. method requires the SSE to have been completed first, and you can only unlock Wolf in SSE after completing the story. There is absolutely no way to unlock him without unlocking R.O.B. first.
Yeah I know. Guess I should've said something along the lines of "Super Secret Unlock".

Just don't see DHD being a starter.
Brawl had only three characters designated in the secret section of the DOJO as Snake and Sonic, while unlockable, were revealed early on. Four if you count Toon Link which no one should.

The reality of fighting games is that letting everyone know that they're favorite character is in the game prior to release increases sales. Most fighting games in general reveal all the characters before launch regardless if their locked in game or not.
i know and I figured there would only be three or four unlocks, which is why I'm pretty sure Shulk will be the last starter newcomer and Koopalings, DHD, & Dark Pit will be secrets. (Well not that secret after this week lol.)

What if at the end of the Wii U and 3DS' life cycles, they released Animal Karting?

Male Villager
Female Villager
Isabelle
Tom Nook
Mr. Resetti
Don Resetti
Crazy Redd
Brewster
Blathers
Celeste
Blanca
Kap'n
Tortimer
(etc.)

With special guests

Mario
Donkey Kong
Link
Samus
Kirby
Pikachu

AC needs to be Nintendo's new flagship guys

Animal Party
Animal Tennis
Animal Crossing RPG: Legend of the Seven Bells

I'm hoping that unlocks have a easier route even if they're longer.
Such as how you could get everyone through SSE if I remember correctly or just about everyone anyway.

That was one of the worst ways to unlock characters. You had to beat that stupid maze just to get Toon Link.

You didn't watch the anime?

Of course! I watched the Pokemon Anime consistently through Kanto and into Johto as a kid. It's what pushed me to get my first Pokemon game--Sapphire. I stopped watching the Anime itself around Hoenn but I still kept up on the movies for a while. Combine the Lucario movie with Diamond and my twelve year old self was sold.

I suppose I came off as not liking the original 151 in my post. My point is that Lucario was one of my favorite Pokemon as a kid so I don't hate him like a lot of others do. I put hundreds of hours into Sapphire and Diamond so I tend to be more attached to the Pokemon I played than the Pokemon I watched, if that makes any sense.

He probably isn't one... Just a traditional unlock that had to be unlocked before Dark Pit and Shulk, who are supposed to be Super Secret Unlocks, assuming the most recent leak is true... Ice Climber, Lucas, and Wolf could be in the same category of Super Secret Unlocks. Of the characters shown in the pictures and videos, the only newcomer I could see being a starter character or pretty much known from the outset but secret is Bowser Jr.

The pricing differences shows they are inherently unequal to begin with. So if one version is being held back for reasons that haven't been explained, skepticism over parity is a natural outcome. Maybe there is a reason and it is amazing, maybe there isn't, either way, the idea of parity hasn't been justified. The Wii U version getting more content doesn't make the 3DS version less appealing if someone has no plans of buying the Wii U game anyway.

The elimination of transforming characters is already evidence that the 3DS version is dictating design choices.

Let's be honest: elimination of transforming characters is really not that big of a deal. Sakurai counted them as individual characters, and most people only played as one or the other.

Ivysaur and Squirtle though :'(

Actually, it is only a big deal for me because of PT. That was the one character that I feel "nailed" the idea of Pokemon in Smash. Just axe the stamina mechanic and we're good. I just think Ivysaur, Squirtle, Charizard, and Red were a great unit.

THEY CAN'T DO THIS TO ME.

THEY CAN'T PUT SNAKE IN SMASH AND THEN TAKE HIM AWAY.

HOW DID IT EVEN HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE? IT SHOULDN'T HAVE. IT WAS SO PERFECTLY GLORIOUS. WHY THE HOPE.

WHY THE DREAMS.

I'M DRUNK. I HATE EVERYTHING.

I LOVE YOU ALL.

I had friends to unlock them all for me thankfully.
But was just bringing that up for whats next. I can't imagine having to unlock someone with requirements like mewtwo this day and age.

I really don't think it was the 3DS' limitations that led to the removal of transforming characters - amiibos, FP and custom moves probably played a larger part.

Hey there, there's still a few spots on the roster, and DLC after that! It's not all lost yet.

I don't even mean this sarcastically...I'm bummed for you. :(

I fully support the elimination of transforming characters, 3DS limitations or otherwise. It doesn't matter the reason. To me, it's a streamlining of the best kind: the character you pick is the character you get. Now go fight.
