I think that is pretty much guaranteed. Its like how they handled Ishin, revealing it before the conference and then showing gameplay at the conference.

I mean, people believed in the "Demon's Soul" successor and that worked out pretty nicely. Not to mention that "Arc The Lad" patent has to materialize as something, and seeing as how Vita development has slowed down, I don't know where else that would materialize but on PS4.

I only believed in the "Demon's Soul" successor because Demonnite was so blatant about it.
I do recall the Arc the Lad trademark but I'm incredibly naive about trademarks so is that an indication of a new product or is it to maintain the trademark so that they can keep selling the previous games on PSN?

Chances are it won't,but i have some (very) slight hopes since this is supposed to be a prequel and a potentially good entry point to re-introduce the series to the west without needing to localize Yakuza 5 first.

It'll be hard to match Gamescom. I really hope Gravity Rush 2 is there in all its beautiful glory. PS4 or Vita, I just want the game.

I'm torn between waiting for the inevitable PS4 'Crimson' version of P5 and just getting it on PS3 as soon as it releases stateside.

Seriously, if there's no FFXV this time, the game's vaporware and the entire gaming world should ignore it. All jokes aside, how much time do you need to finish one freaking game?
As far as whether or not this will be relevant...logically, it should be. It burns deep down (lol) to say this, but the Playstation 4 has been every bit the failure all the naysayers said it would be in Japan. This is pretty much Sony's best chance to show their home country why they should buy a PS4. If they fuck this up they'll probably have to outright shut production of PS3s down to get them to buy PS4s faster, lol.
So yeah. I expect at least one or two "holy crap" games. I expect a ton of smaller games too, with "smaller" being things like whatever Falcom's supposed to be working on for PS4, NIS' new J-RPG, things like that.

Maybe but to be honest, I just want to play Persona 5. I'm tired of turning on my PS3 too but Persona is just worth it. With their track record, I'm sure I will love it enough to buy every version of the game when it's released.
Seeing as how there was a 4 year gap between persona 4 and golden, atlus never seems to be in a rush to go to the newest platform available and the PS3 userbase is gigantic compared to the ps4 right now in japan, it might be between 2-4 years until we see a enhanced version of P5 on ps4/vita (unless sony paid alot of money to speed up a ps4 release) So it depends on if you want to wait that long for it.
