I've read that Ridley guide before and honestly that was my line of thinking long before I read that. It doesn't really prove he is playable but I will say without a doubt there is no way that Ridley is ONLY a hazard equivalent to the yellow devil. Sakurai really does have a way about him when he handles characters and Ridley has been the sole exception to his habits.

I'm not saying he's playable but he will not just fly around F Ship up and then be out. There is some legitimate teasing going on for the most controversial character wished for Smash.

While I am in the "Ridley's a boss" camp, I still think there could be a chance he's playable. I mean Dark Pit was blatantly teased. Why not just show him there? Who knows. Sakurai really does what he wants, how he wants. People try to say "he would never do this" or "this is something he would definitely do" but honestly he just seems to do whatever he thinks is best and doesn't have any set pattern. He didn't reveal Dark Pit because he thinks either hiding him until release or putting him in another trailer would be best.

They've been in more Smash games than their own. Their own did not sell particularly well. At best that earns them a "guest" spot which they have now used... Twice.

No way would Sakurai ever cut ICs for any reason except due to 3DS limitaions. They are Smash mainstays and they will most certainly be back in Smash 5. (Not The WiiU one.)

Anyone with a completely uniqe moveset stays. The only reason stuff like Pokemon like Mewtwo gets cut is because theres so many and theres always newer ones to put in, so some may be lost to time due to time contraints. With already hacing 5 Pokemon characters, I'd bet Mewtwo was lower pirority than Lucas or Wolf, who also didn't make it atleast in the base game. (This also applies to FE but that series avoided cuts this go around thankfully.)

More importantly, it just gives us hope back in general. Best case scenario, the next character reveal is a newcomer or vet listed in none of the information from any of the leakers, even the probably phony text addendums. Just like Robin threw Gematsu depression under the bus.

I hope the stage size and blast zone issues with the returning melee stages have been fixed this time around, my enjoyment of a few in particular was severely hampered by their implementation in Brawl so I barely touched them.

The argument for Ridley is very good. The fact that he also (allegedly) made a joke about the demand for Ridley during the Developer's Roundtable at E3 this year really makes me wonder.

I really don't like that "Green Greens" remix. Seems like a lot of chords are completely off for the tune, and it keeps rubbing me the wrong way. The Dream Team remix doesn't bother me nearly as much as it does others here, though; I quite like it!

Of course, the music I've been listening to a lot lately is this variant of the Smash 4 theme. I love that opening, with the heavy drums and brief trumpet chords (not quite staccato, I'm sure there's a better word for it).

Kirby Super Star's advertising is similarly traumatic. Nintendo of America's advertising team were really off their rocker at the time - I guess they were trying to be edgy, since it was working so well for Sega and Sony, but the results were highly underwhelming.

I just found out the Japan Time Twitch channel is run by GAF's own Wii Will Rock U, who had the greatest exit in GAF history.

Something to do with a fanmade Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box Twitter ad campaign, from the looks of things? Quickly devolving to "please don't ban me, I love GAF".

I was the opposite. I loved Zelda as a kid, while Mario was just something I was aware of and played here and there, but didn't really obsess over.

Mario has grown on me more and more though. I think the bite sized levels and objectives mesh better with me these days than most things. Just a few weeks ago I finished SMB3 for the first time (though I had played it on GBA a lot). Hopefully I can manage to finish SMB 1 without using the saves afforded by the GBC version.
