Really, that's not a terrible roster already! Aside from cuts, it exceeds what my expectations were. Some of my favorites didn't make it in, but that's almost inevitable.

Well, It's NOT terrible roster. It's nearly perfect roster for me bar with few missing veterans. I really REALLY love the roster because of many reasons but I already explained most in this thread but I can't help but felt bad for most of people out there losing their beloved characters, Lucas, IC, Snake and Wolf.

Ideas off the top of my head:

ProfBeef's Nightmare - OH NO! Someone sent a shipment of 100 ROBs to Beef's house by mistake. Help him get rid of them before he starts liking them from over exposure.
JoeInky's Nightmare - JoeInky just moved house. Unfortunately it seems he moved to Miiville by mistake and all his neighbours are Miis. Help Joe defeat them all!
Neiteio's Nightmare - Bowser, Bowser Jr, DK, Diddy, Pikachu, Jiggly, Charizard, Lucario, Greninja, Duck Hunt Dog, ROB, Mr G&W, Wii Fit Trainer and Chorus Kids have challenged him to a fight to the death. Help him defeat these bootless foes!

Neiteio's Nightmare would actually have you fight a horde of Lucina. I couldn't stand the idea of scuffing such fine boots.

You could possibly incorporate them into a move set for a pre electrical visual spiel era Nintendo. So they use Hanfuda cards, N&B blocks, a Chiritorie etc.

Having quickly glanced at the go to resource for this era of Nintendo stuff, Before Mario, I have whittled down the potential humanoid characters who can represent this era

The biker his/her self wasn't present, but Mach Rider was a Nintendo toy. This might make for the argument that Mach Rider'd go before Pac-Man/Game & Watch in All-Star.

And Game Boy Camera Face would be legitimately terrifying, but I'd be down for it as the bonus boss beyond the Master Hand teased in that PotD earlier this week.

Here's a summary of what's being revealed.


The Roster Has Even Less Characters than the ESRB version, due to cart limitations most of these characters and the ones on the Pic Of The Day site were removed.

We're getting the Original SSB64 Cast, but Captain Falcon is replaced with Shulk, Luigi is replaced with Pichu, and Donkey Kong is removed entirely.

I think it's pretty great, but there's no reason to cut Lucas, ICs, or Wolf. That knocks it down a bunch of pegs. They weren't clones or anything. I guess they could be considered irrelevant, but that just makes me sad. :\

I'm just not interested in most of these newcomers. I don't see the appeal of Wii Fit Trainer at all. I've never played Duck Hunt or Punch Out. I've disliked Bowser Jr. as a character for years, and I'm not excited by Palutena, Villager, Shulk, Pac-Man, Dr. Mario, Dark Pit or clone-Lucina either. Couple that with the loss of characters I actually DO like, such as Ice Climbers, Wolf, Lucas and Snake AND the absence of reps for several franchises that sorely need them, and I think it's just as idiotic not be able to see why people could be disappointed with this roster.

However, there will be a DLC character pack, with 9 characters - 3 newcomers, 3 new clones and 3 veterans. Which would you choose to fill it?

Also, characters which are already stage bosses / hazards and assist trophies are ineligible.

Newcomers:

1. Marshal/Chorus Kids
2. Dixie Kong
3. Krystal

Clones:

1. Proto Man (Mega Man clone)
2. Wart (Bowser clone)
