It's weird having all commons on your KOTR bench. I keep forgetting when I go to use them for training fodder.

Same XD

I think a lot of people don't know you're supposed to level cards before combining them. Shit, I didn't. Facing a lot of low rated pro UR

Also same. My Pro Vince is owning 95% of any card that faces him even if the opponent is maxed pro.

I almost feel bad considering how hard it is to acquire those cards and than just waste them without knowing to Max before combining.

I hope I can get an all Pro Epic team before they fix or add penalties against the common bench, lol.

It's pretty cool to know you will reach the finals in the KotR only 20 matches in. #3 has a 13-9 record, it will be extremely easy to beat him.

Don't feel bad, you're not actually affecting people's records anyway. Only those who are foolish enough to enter The Vince Dome

Heh, Vince Dome. I like the sound of that. :D

Dat Charisma man lol.

This is my first time I'll be in the qualifiers.

What exactly is it like? How many more matches do I need to play after the initial 45 games?

Over 600 matches in UR/UR+/UR++ tier and stil no UR. The 3 that I have 2 are from kotr the other is the auto UR that you get from moving up a tier. Pulling a ton of rares now which is good for training fodder.

I'd kill for a UR diva. Pro rare eve marie has served me well but it's time for her to retire to the kotr bench.

I'm stuck at the beginning of UR++ tier it's going to be a grind getting to epic.

My record is still good though 1786-226

Yeah, I've got the timing right too so I'll be able to check my progress in the knockouts, just in case some sneaky boosts try to take me out. Currently 23-2 on this one though, and that's after sleep. So easy.

After those 45, 9 more matches follow. The 3th drops if the matches can be decided with only 2, but yeah the final stage takes plenty of time.

So basically I have to beat an opponent two games out of three? Than move on to the next round and so on and so forth?

Ok cool. :D

how is your experience with it? At least in the first two rounds I mean. Do players suddenly go all out with their boosts or should I not worry about that till the finals?

They pretty much go full out right away. If you get caught by surprise then it is already too late, you could get unlucky and you'd be out.

In fact, some people drop the finals, because even finishing as 2nd, you already get the main reward, which is the Pair of Cards. Most don't even care for the support card.

I don't even use boosts in the finals anymore, just get there, it is the biggest challenge. Good luck :).

entered my first epic tier KOTR

my team for the KOTR is

UR "pro" the miz (maxed out)
UR "pro" Edge (almost maxed out)
Epic Batista (around lv 20)
SR "pro" Andrè the giant (maxed out)
SR "pro" Big Show (maxed out)
SR "pro" Alberto Del rio (maxed out)
UR Andrè the giant (maxed out)
UR JBL (maxed out)
Rare "pro" AJ Lee (maxed out)
rare Natalia (lv 0)

counting that i can still finish to lv up edge and batista, will it be enough to reach the final?

Yeah I figured. The first place reward for me is one rare to go with two super Rares, which is useless for me now,

Thanks for the advice. :D

Is it 3 games or 3 matches?

I thought you only played 3 matches in the playoffs.

3 matches of 3 games. If everyone in the same round is finished in 2, it will just advance. If it does need to go a third match but you don't have to, you will not lose energy, which is nice.

I've learnt by my mistake my John Cena SR Pro is an animal.

Just joined SR++ and yet to receive another UR Which is annoying seeing as how many people have 3 or 4.

If it's not explained in the game, a lot of people won't know. Other CCGs have explained how maxing out a card before combining is ideal. But they also often sell items that help upgrade cards faster, so it's in their best interest to explain it. Especially if their mechanics involve combining multiple copies of a card to properly max it out.

You're not supposed to get a UR until you hit UR tier.

Should be OK.

I feel like I never lose unless it's a tag match. I still want some Ultra Rares to make it more even.

Awesome cards man. Want that Jake!

Can anyone help me here?

I have a pro rere Khali (maxed out) but I just got a super rare Lesnar and Big Show. Are they better than Khali?

Also I have a pro super rare Cody Rhodes that I stupidly combined at 0. Is super rare Edge better than him?

a maxed out "pro" card is always better than a maxed out normal card of the successive tier...
basically a "pro" SR will always be better than a normal UR if maxed out properly

Just max out a bunch of rare pros. It's what I did. You'll get a lot more SRs in UR through UR++... and hardly any URs :(. Or maybe I just have awful luck with this stuff. I'm at 2375-212 and still less than halfway through UR++ with only one UR so far and only one diva SR or better. I'm really banking on this UR KotR to at least get me a pair. If I can get a max UR Pro, it might be enough to push me into Epic, especially if it's a Diva.

Just advanced to super rare. This is really addictive.

Rare Yokozuna from the start has single handedly won my first 20 matches lol.

My first Super Rare was AJ Lee. So I'm not losing any Diva matches.

Yeah my rare Yokozuna starter really carried my team until I got my SR Naomi. I finally had to replace Naomi with a SR Pro Eva, but it's not enough to move me up a tier.

Right now I'm just using duplicate commons and uncommons to level up my rares or better and collecting at least one of every unique card. Is that the right play?

My group is Rare Yoko, Rare Barrett, Rare Kofi, Uncommon Bray Wyatt and Super Rare AJ Lee with Rare Trashcan and Ladder support cards.

My first Super Rare was AJ Lee. So I'm not losing any Diva matches.

Careful, max pro rare divas will smack her down pretty easily. You should be fine though until you hit SR++, where you'll be more likely to run into max pro rares, max pro SRs, and URs.

Sweet, got 2nd place in my Super Rare KotR!

Pretty stupid that I didn't even manage the final round due to the fact that I don't give a shit about the inferior support card.

They really need to adjust the rewards for the 1st place in a KotR that lasts 45 hours. I micromanaged the shit outta my game except the final round. Doesn't seem to make sense.

Sitting at 390 wins and 33 losses at the moment but I'm still not sure I'm totally getting it. Training my cards does next to nothing and I've just let KOTR do it's thing for the last couple of hours. It's addictive but I might leave it soon.

This using commons on your bench to manipulate KOTR us fantastic, but I do feel slightly bad for this guy who burnt every boost and still came up short.

Yeah I'm trying to fill out the catalog so I wait until I have duplicates of rares and SR's to combine them. It's a slow process and I get very tempted to use my SR's as training fodder. I've finished the Common and Uncommon catalog, and I only have 10 more to go in the Rare catalog.

And by collecting do you mean you're actually holding on to them? Cause you don't have to since they're added to the catalog. You do have to combine and make a pro version of them though, since that's a spot in the catalog.

What don't you get? What do you mean training your cards does next to nothing? KOTR is a 2 day event and you have to check in on it frequently unless you take a lot of early games. I wouldn't blame you for dropping it.

What's the strategy/benefit for putting commons on your bench for KOTR? Is it lower your tier a little so your cards are stronger than everyone else?

Pretty much. I figured out that it matches with people around how filled up your tier bar is and not just what level you're on. So if you can fill up with commons without having to drop a tier, it's well worth it.

Yeah I couldn't actually fill out my backups with commons or else I'd drop down to SR, which I really don't need, but I was able to fill up the bench with rares at least. I'm now at #1 after 30 games and should be able to place in the top 2 barring something catastrophic. After that, I'll hopefully have enough picks stockpiled to very quickly level the pair I get to UR pro, which I can then throw in to start up a new KotR. Since you can't combine anything that's currently active in KotR, I make it a point to only use Pro cards in my active KotR deck whenever possible.

Makes sense. But if you're effectively only using one team, do you feel the need to refresh the stamina of your cards more? Or are they so strong it doesn't really matter?

He told me to refresh once cards become yellow in Energy, which is after 3 matches. It has worked surprisingly well.

I am up against the #2 in my next match, so I probably should go for full Energy. But bleh, F it, let's see what happens. I would steamroll the poor guy otherwise.

I queued KotR with low leveled Epic/Legendary, and after I got in, I maxed them, nasty.

I noticed that it doesn't show the little star that indicates your card is a pro during KOTR tag matches. Does anyone know if it downgrades your card, or if it's just something they slipped up on?

I barely refilled my stamina last time. I just scouted and would check to see who looked like they were actually participating and sometimes I would go like 5 or 6 matches before I would refill my stamina.
