Looks like a new mode is coming sometime soon:

Probably something similar to the season mode in the NBA card game?

Probably to coincide with the Royal Rumble

Giving it a try again. Alot of new cards, but the grind will bore me again soon.

How does the new Exhibition mode work? Being in Survivor, will I ultimately be guaranteed a Survivor card by building a invisible meter, that's how I understood it anyway.

My free card was a Manager card giving 50TGH to my deck. Not bad I guess.

Basically the game is counting board resets. After an undisclosed number of resets, if you have not already pulled a card in your current tier, you will automatically get one. Again, no one knows what those magic reset counts are, but they are said to be lower the higher you are in the tier. I.E. If you're on Survivor, it will take more board clears to get an assured card than if you're at Survivor +, and more for Survivor + than Survivor ++.

The caveats are that you can still pull a card in your tier prior to that magical reset number, but it is all luck of the draw. No matter when you draw a card in your tier, it resets the counter. Pulling cards below your tier will not impact the counter, but if you go down a tier and pull a card there (so from Survivor to Legendary for example) it will reset your counter just the same. I think this is an attempt to curb exhibition sandbagging somewhat, since people won't want to miss out on getting the highest card possible.

Finally, as you move up in tier, your odds of pulling cards from lower tiers increase. Again, we don't know by how much, but I've noticed that I've pulled more UR's since the update than I probably did in my entire playtime prior. Still no Epics or Legendary cards though.

I see. Thanks. That's a great change. Makes Exhibition somewhat fun to play again.

Hmm sorry for double post. But if I win my first round in brackets and get eliminated in the second, I still get a SV?

Yep. Making the semis in a Survivor KOTR gets you a random Survivor tier card. Losing in the finals gets you that and a Legendary support card. Winning gets you 2 random Survivor tier cards. I think I may prefer getting second place now that you no longer can get a guaranteed pair, at least until you get enough support cards.

Thanks. Yeah I'm stacked on support cards. Guess I can aim for #1 but there's some tough competition in here.

Before the update, there was no way to get Legendary support cards aside from PCC and very very lucky pulls from Exhibition. I was lucky to get a random pull of one a while back, so I'd like to at least get 1 more.

I have a feeling I'll find myself getting the #2 spot more often than I want to, so I'm sure I get there.

And yeah you are right, they are Epic tier cards that I have. Made a mistake there. Yeah, those Legendary supports are an upgrade for me as well.

My first SV one was a support though, so I really only need 1.

Been clearing alot of Exhibition boards but that SV card still did not show up. I have to be getting close by now..

Came in second in my first Survivor KOTR - got a Layla to match the freebie I got! Gonna take forever to level these cards up to pro them. Also got a Legendary Bobby Heenan support.

I'm struggling hard. Beat my first opponent but he was really good. Now I'm up against someone who could easily win this thing. Other side of the brackets was much easier. Oh well SV in the pocket at least.

Pretty much all those who make the Survivor bracket are going to have at least 3 or 4 Legendary Pros. If you don't have at least 2 or 3 really good ones (i.e. HBK, Rock, etc along with a good Diva) it will come down to boosts, RNG, and matchups - if you see a better matchup, be sure to switch around your card positions. I lost my first match in the quarter-finals, but I switched up my Hogan and Cena in the solo slots to get better matchups and it worked out.

Now that I have a Survivor diva pair nailed down, I don't have to really ever worry about losing that matchup.

Had to boost every single match and managed to win the Finals. Took way too much time.

Does the common bench trick still help in Survivor? It will probably be a while til I can Pro a Diva.

If there really is a building meter for every Exhibition clear, I should be close by now. Played alot of games

Tamina Snuka and Summer Rae. Meh.

The new event is up. Looks like the rewards are new Sting and Hollywood Hogan cards, I'm guessing these will be specific to the event? That one guy in the last event said he spent like 8h every day and $200 to get 2nd place. I spent what I thought was too much time just to hit like 13000 or something, and that dude had 30x the points I did. I may skip this one, I think.

Deleted the app. It's just too addictive and I can't play moderately. That's a good thing, but not for me haha.

I'm having an issue with mine today. everytime i attempt to train or swap a team member in exhibition, the app is closing on me. Its getting rather frustrating.
After multiple tries, it finally let me train someone.

Well Road to a Glory is no fun, match making is terrible, I lost to all 5 opponents in a clean sweep who had nothing but epic and legendary cards.

I'm actually enjoying the Road to Glory. I'm up to earning the Epic card. I would be farther if sleep didn't interfere. it's not a bad mode, the difficulty does increase greatly every level I rise.
Edit:
I like that this mode actively punishes those who spent lots of money on the game. If you see someone with with a low match count, and a survivor as their main card, you know you can beat them. Buying enough cards for a decent 5 card team typically means the rest of their 20 are poor.

Apologies for the nearly 4 month bump, I didn't want to make a new thread just for this.

I've recently got back into the game after a while away, and I played through King of the Ring and the Miz vs Mizdow ladder mode.

For the first KOTR I had a couple of super rare cards mixed with mostly rares and a couple of uncommon cards. I ended up winning the tournament and getting two super rare cards, which at the time was good for progression.

A while later I got my reward from the Miz/Mizdow ladder (two epic Hulk Hogan cards). I'd also crafted a couple of super rare fusion cards - so my deck was looking a lot better.

I re-entered KOTR with this new deck, and assumed that since the level of the other players had increased to provide a challenge, the level of prizes would also increse - except, it didn't. The prize for winning the whole tournament is still only two super rare cards, which are kind of redundant when I already have a deck and "subs bench" full of super rare or better cards.

Does KOTR ever increase its rewards? Or is it basically useless once you reach a certain deck level? Maybe there's some sort of benefit I'm overlooking.
