Thank you!

I want to hope for greatness, but I have my doubts. Hopefully some solid PS4 JRPGs get announced. That's all I need, really.

Edit: and Vita stuff... Dammit, Sony! Now even I'm forgetting about the Vita!

Isn't this the same presentation that was a super snooze fest last year? Best thing about it was Amirox making fun of the translators. They did announce Vita TV but otherwise wasn't it pretty much a business presentation?

yup...not getting hyped...

So far, we've heard absolutely nothing from Japan but "YAAAAYY Mobile is making a billion dollars every second!" and everyone throwing PS2-level games on 3DS...

Salty @ Japanese developers right now...They ain't bout nutin but them baby screens...

I'd like a ticket please, good sir.

1 AM on Labor Day. No sweat. Thanks for the kind scheduling, Sony.

I think I was pleasantly surprised by that conference. I was expecting a total shit show, and that's how it started, but for some reason I remember not being completely disappointed. I can't recall what all was there, though.

you guys must be mistaking it with the tgs key note they did last year. this one called sceja press conference had some decent announcements and here is a post recapping most of it

This is the TGS conference.

What to expect...well,

Last year:

PS4

Guilty Gear Xrd (also on PS3)
Untitled idolm@ster game
Untitled Gundam game
Dynasty Warriors 7/8 (also on PS3, late port)
RgG Ishin (also on PS3)
Dream C Club, EDF (not sure if these are ports or new games)
Lily Bergamo
Natural Doctrine (also on PS3/Vita)
Totemo E Mahjong Plus (ASW)
Nikoli no Puzzle 4: Sudoku (Hamster)]

PSV

Phantasy Star Nova (2014)
Soul Sacrifice Delta (re-release with new features ) / March 2014 releases date and hinted at the possibility of a sequel in 2015.
Gundam Breaker (Oct 31, 2013), a port of the PS3 game.
Yakuza Ishin (Feb 2014), Also on PS3 and PS4.
Terraria Vita for Japan (2013??)
Danganronpa: Another Episode (2014)
New Deception/ Kagero game (no release date).

Expected stuff this year:

- Gravity Rush 2
- Disgaea 5 / NIS game
- Ys 8 / Falcom game
- Bloodborne online reveal

i would expect some good announcements at this conference. hopefully some ps4 games with gameplay shown rather than logos.

So...is it just me, or do we have to see something about Persona 5 at TGS? That game is supposed to be out within the next four months and we've literally gotten nothing more than a logo treatment. It's absurd.

Is it really absurd? Persona 3 and Persona 4 were both only announced in March of their respective release years, before being released in July. If Persona 5 is coming out sometime from Dec 2014 to early 2015, then we'll be seeing it shortly, but it doesn't seem particularly unusual that we have seen nothing so far.

It's certainly peculiar when compared to its fellow Japanese developers' ways (FFXV/TLG I'm looking at you), but I do prefer the Atlus way of doing a marketing campaign!

I was ok with last year's conference, but now i'm really hoping for something that'll blow my socks off. Its bad to get overexcited about mobile japan these days who seems stuck in PS2 graphics land, but i really want to see what a lot of these developers who've been just sitting on their hands have.

Where's tri ace and their next gen engine?

Where's Ono teasing PS4 Ultra SF?

Where's that Arc the lad trademark going?

Will there ever be a Legend of Dragoon PS4 remake?

So many questions and no answers...

Where's tri ace and their next gen engine?

Waiting for a publisher foolish enough to pay them to develop yet another under-performing AAA console game. No luck so far, so they're keeping busy with a Vita game and a self published smartphone title.

Where's Ono teasing PS4 Ultra SF?

Probably trying to get approval from management to release something which isn't a f2p microtransaction-centric piece of garbage. Unlikely to be successful anytime soon since his family name isn't Tsujimoto.

Where's that Arc the lad trademark going?

Into the long dark abyss awaiting for it to expire again.

Will there ever be a Legend of Dragoon PS4 remake?

No because the game sucks and no one really wants it other than to laugh at it.

Interesting. I didn't know the history there. Still, though. Concept art. A music clip. Anything.

I only complain because I care.
(about my future waifus)

I want it too :/ Personally speaking, the game was always unfairly attacked because it was always compared to FF which it paled in comparison to...and because people didn't know how to time their attacks correctly.

Additions are easy as pie if you concentrate. Its basically like the disk grid in Shadow Hearts or Resonance of Fate except way less complicated. I liked the plot, the storyline and the characters too. Sure it wasn't a perfect game...but it'll always be one of my treasured classics, and hey, a remake would present an opportunity to fix any issues people may have had with the original.

Oh my lots of people are going to be disappointed again.

Can we start putting people on the guy opening a box and out pops "It's fucking nothing!" picture instead of the hype train?

When people say there arent going to be announcements, they might be confusing the SCEJA conference with TGS proper...last year we got some actual decent stuff at the pre TGS conference

There will be announcements. They just probably won't be game changers or totally unexpected stuff. Just a continual decline of Japanese relevancy.

People on the internet have a nasty habit of thinking their opinion is the same as everyone else's. I never even PLAYED Legend of Dragoon and yet I know several people who would be hyped as shit if it got a sequel.
