Sony Pre-TGS 2014 SCEJA Conference - Wait we're in Japan? [Over]

Not expecting much at all, seems like sony, microsoft, and most third party devs have yet to show really anything for current gen. Not sure what they're waiting for, even if the games aren't ready to ship within the next 6 months it still gets the hype out there.

Deep Down will be there... but beta got delayed again.

My final and serious prediction:

- Everybody's Golf 7
- Gravity Rush 2
- Grand Turismo 7
- Senran Kagura
- Yakuza 0
- Deep Down
- One Piece Warriors
- One or two other Musou games
- Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
- That Falcom PS4 game
- Compile Heart game or two
- One big game from SCEJ

I'm not expecting Persona 5 unless it is getting a PS4 version. Wouldn't make much sense advertising a PS3 exclusive at an event that is trying to make the PS4 appealing, even if lots of the games will but multiplats.

A little unsure about Level 5 since Youkai Watch exploded, no Level-5 vision event, and they had to deal with lots of problems dealing with WonderFlick.

Edit:

Also a guy who used to write for Famitsu wrote on twitter that Playstation fans will be very happy after the conference is over.

Just realized I'll be able to stay up to catch this, so I'll be riding the hype train until its fiery, bloody end!

Let me just go grab some pain meds in case Persona, FFXV and KH3 are no-shows....

Guess he is talking about the Japanese PlayStation fans? What are their most wanted games? TLG? Persona 5?

The top 5 most wanted PS games in Famitsu are Persona 5, FFXV, KH3, Zestiria and The Evil Within. And if zeromcd73 is talking about the same Famitsu editor that i'm thinking of (Hamamura), then he also said that a big game maker would make a PS4 game announcement around TGS that could help it in Japan.

Thats what I am always talking about. Despite funds issues, Capcom's internal team is incredibly talented even after losing a lot of their star devs. They need more collabs with Sony or Nintendo.

My biggest request of the show is that Sony recognizes that international consumers are paying attention to TGS and Japanese games in general, and we would like their cool games to be localized.

edit: Man this work schedule sure does mess with my mind...Too many times confuse my day back to work after having 2 days off as Monday. Thought I missed this...

I was like, "wow, must've been a non-conference as I don't see any threads whatsoever that would indicate that some announcements were made"

Famitsu guy says PS fans will make a fuss about a game shown at the conference.

Probably because Gravity Rush 2 is going to be PS4 exclusive. Muhahaha

Fingers crossed for new CyberConnect2 Game (and i hope it's not Naruto). Shu said something like "This Show is gonna be Ps4 focused" right? I hope they don't forget Vita. Trying to keep my Hopes low, but i can't, too hyped.

Well, I don't think any old "star team members" were working on this. Deep Down is made by their "mobile team".

If that's true it is even more incredible that this game can be developed by mobile game devs. Seriously, Sony really need to heavily invest in co-development with Japanese 3rd-party. I have been listening 8-4 podcast for quite sometime and, from the sound of it, there are so many talented Japanese developers and programmers who want to make console games or bigger titles than a bunch of cash-grabbing mobile games but they just don't have opportunity to do so. Many of these guys have become independent and waiting for big publishers like Sony or MS to support them. Common Sony, give a call to Feelplus guys at AQ Interactive and fund them to make another game like Lost Odyssey.

Yeah, I was actually researching about that yesterday due to wanting to see what the developers of Bushido Blade are doing now. I was surprised to see the amount of Japanese studios from the PS1/PS2 days that were still around making mobile games or other smaller things. Sony should definitely hire some of these talented developers to make games for them.

I know they recently said that they were working with Japanese publishers, so I hope we see some announcements from unexpected developers at their event.

Dont want to think about it. It hurts too much.

Anyways, looking forward for Bloodborne and Deep Down. Would be more interested in the new One Piece game if it wasnt cross gen with even the Vita.

My final prediction

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XIV
Yakuza 0
Phantasy Star Nova
Deep Down
CyberConnect2's new IP
Something else new from Bandai Namco

Edit: Removed a few titles that weren't on Sony platforms. Sorry! (Forgot this was the Sony thread, not generic TGS prediction thread.) xD

Yeeeah pleaseplease. In my Dreamworld they would announce Jojo's All Star Battle 2, but that's way to early.

My (unfortunately unrealistic) fantasy TGS bingo card!

If I actually get a bingo then it'll have been one hell of a conference .

A new Wild Arms would be awesome and I would love to see Media Vision working on the PS4.
(Maybe even a Shining Resonance PS4 port?)

Time for my annual disappointment about the lack of a DMC5 announcement.

That's such a neat monster design. They should have kept that hidden for players to discover on their own.

I'd think they have their hands full with Digimon (VITA), Shining Resonance (PS3) and Chaos Rings III (iOS/VITA, though they're only handling the iOS version).

But a PS4 port of any of these would be awesome, and would raise the chances of seeing a localization!

I should add that if these predictions AREN'T at Sony's conference, then they still might appear during the actual floor show. So... my prediction doesn't end with just the Sony conference. :P

I think you have a reasonable chance for the leftmost column and diagonal including the bottom left corner. For me the other diagonal would be one hell of a conference, but I doubt it.

I'm still mad about the Vib-Ribbon shit they pulled at E3, but I'll watch this anyway. Don't disappoint me this time, Sony.

Wonder if we will see the first FFXIV expansion. I could see Sony revealing that trailer at their conference.

I can see it now.

Hashimoto comes on stage. Talks about how much FF is progressing and S-E is excited to support Sony and the PS4. The lights dim. People get quiet. S-E logo fades onto the screen. Everyone starts getting moist, awaiting the new FFXV trailer, and.... oh... it's a XIV expansion trailer. Lights turn up. Hashimoto bows and quietly walks away.
The rage posts begin. :p

In all seriousness, I'm excited to see media on the XIV expansion.
