Wait, the covers are only for the New 3DS and not the New 3DS XL!?
Fucking boooooo!
After having an XL 3DS, I'm interested in a normal sized 3DS now, since the XL is way too bulky to carry around and play comfortably.
Wait, the covers are only for the New 3DS and not the New 3DS XL!?
Fucking boooooo!
So what are the chances we get the Famicon buttons in NA?
Is it true that the 3ds makes your eyes bleed?

oct 11th for japan, next year for america/eu? what the fuck nintendo
Half serious, I've used the 3d and it makes my eyes feel weird.
That goes away after a few minutes. I've always used the 3D at full blast; I can't imagine playing 3DS games in 2D, it's like playing Xbox 360 games in SD.
So Nintendo just killed their sales for the next year?
hahahahahaha

I want one. My 3DS XL is still as good as new, but I want this new one just because I can. Don't even care about the price

So that pricing, that looks pretty cheap...
A quick conversion puts the New 3DS LL at around $180USD? The standard at $154USD or am I missing something?
That's a great price.
I want it October 11 too![]()
Same here, I plan on picking up the New regular sized one, seems like a great mix of the XL and OG 3DS.
The "new 3D" could be related to the patent infrigement they lost recently and have to pay a royalty for every 3DS or 3DSXL sold.
So using that tiny nub, might make a game like kid icarus easier to play for lefties? Or is that even possible since nintendo rarely patches stuff.
how about a new 3DS regular size for going out and 3D games (those I would like to play in 3D mode) and current 3DS XL for home usage?
but I have some games downloaded on the XL now >.>

So I've yet to get a 3DS, would it be best if I got this SKU or the one of the older versions?

Anybody else think this might mean that we can utilize the SNES VC on the New 3DS? I mean... Look at the buttons!
I don't get why Nintendo would get sued for patent infringement when the 3D screen is manufactured by Sharp.

Cool updates but I am more of a home console guy. I bought my kid a 3DSXL and I play it very little, it is great and all, but I am one of those who has very little time to play and would like to spend that on the big screen or at least the Wii U gamepad.

Nope. Done with Nintendo.
Literally nothing has changed that would make SNES VC any more or less possible.
My first thought was 'Nintendo can port Gamecube games for handhelds now.'
That's... Actually a pretty valid point. It never even crossed my mind. Probably gonna faze out the old 3ds and xl with these releases.
Wait, so the faceplates are for the smaller new 3DS? Did I get that wrong?
These look great. If there's an exchange program for my 'old' 3DS I'd do it.
Nope. Done with Nintendo.
I still say I'm more salty that in 2015 Nintendo is gonna try and sell me new hardware for $150-$200 with a fucking PICA 200 GPU.
Shit is a decade old and they still trying to get me to pay that kind of cash. :|
There were plenty of exclusive and enhanced games on DSi. Most for download, but some on Card. Why should this be different? Xenoblade is one of them.
