Believe me, you don't want upscaling. Best thing to do is use the same resolution screen. It would be like making bigger screen TV's 3K instead of 1080, despite things always being at 1080. Native resolution is always best.
Why they did that to motion plus games?
Game Boy could play GBC titles if they were not GBC only. You can think of these as GBC enhanced games (like DSi enhanced). These tended to be black cartridges.
GBC only were clear cartridges (DSi only are white cartirdges...well I think Pokemon white was white as well *hits self in confusion*)
I've noticed that they called the little nub a "c-stick" rather than a circle pad. Does that essentially mean that it will have a limited range of movement, such as 4 or 8 way movement, rather than a full 360 degree range of motion?
Really? Shit. Had no idea. Ok cool, not a problem than. I always thought it was just another stick. Are these things comfortable?
One was a cheap add-on, one requires $150. Surely you can see the difference.
Wii Remotes pricing at $US39.99, $19.99 for a Nunchaku and now $19.99 for the Wii MotionPlus, that means it costs $80 for a fully loaded Wii Remote
This is a list of Nintendo handhelds that didn't get a revision:This is just going to hurt any future handheld launch. People like myself will just wait it out for a revision.

This.New 3DS is really great, though (for a hardware revision):
First question of people will not be "what is it?", but rather "what's new about it".

So is this the next generation of Nintendo handheld, or is this supposed to somehow be the game generation?
So glad I bought an XL last week.

I don't understand this.
Is this a new handheld? Will new 3DS games run on my 3DS?
$40 isnt cheap

Its official:
Nintendo is ran by lunatics. So many damn revisions/models. These people are out of control.
This is the biggest bullshit I have ever seen. Nintendo just pulled a 32X, who the fuck splits the userbase. I refuse to buy a new 3DS, I HAVE ONE ALREADY.
Just make a new damn handheld, not this inbetween shit.
I cannot believe people comparing this to the GBC. That came out 8 YEARS after the Game Boy. This is not comparable at all. This is the 32X all over again.
So will this thing support standard SD card? Only seen Micro SD cards mentioned.
Im afraid this will happen soon.I just hope the "New Wii U" isn't next...

fuck, no buy from me then.

This revision is for people that bought 3DS's in 2011 and 2012. Targets people who are accustomed to 2 year upgrades for phones.
They will try to target kids with the amiibo line, but it is clear that they are targeting fans with Xenoblade. This revision, I don't think, is for kids, that's why they have the 2DS. So all future games that are kid oriented will not be exclusive to the new system, for example they will release a dongle for NFC for the original systems.
This is classic Nintendo aiming at its core. It's the same thing they did with the DSI and the GameBoy color.
2DS (which is not a thing in Japan), 3DS and and 3DS XL are identical systems. This is basically 3DSi, the first one that is actually different other than form factor. Also, the XL models don't cause any confusion, they're just... XL models.3DS
3DS XL
2DS
New 3DS
New 3DS XL
Consumer confusion and fatigue are bound to bite them in the ass if they keep doing this. We're probably a year or two out from the 3DS successor and they're dropping another 3DS on people?

DSi. Same damn thing.
Cough cough, Virtual boy....
Just because Nintendo had similar business decisions in the past, doesn't make this one any less shitty.
"New" 3DS is a quarter-way successor to the current 3DS. Primarily due to having exclusive games not available to the current 60m+ 3DS owners.
Did I mention the 3DS is only slightly over 3 years old?
There was not ONE dsi exclusive worth a damn. I will bet that a new Zelda will be exclusive to this.
It's very ergonomic, it lacks one button though, the L button, but the triggers on the CPP (ZL ZR) is better for me since it emulates console controllers in terms of position
They are very comfortable. However, I don't see the point of purchasing one considering the new games won't run on old 3DS consoles.
