Shulk Confirmed for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS

Does Nintendo make these in house? Someone there has a great eye for capturing action, the slo-mo shots here are nice, same goes for the camera work.

Not sure, but all the trailers have been beautiful.

Maybe it's a collaboration between people from Nintendo and Bamco. The quality of each CG trailer has been insanely good. The character movements are almost like if they used motion capture tech and everything. Sooooo goood. Just imagine a Smash Bros. movie like this! HNNGHGLDKJFG.

His moves look similar to a hybrid of Link and Marth....a sweeping sword attack and a counter move?

They really could have been more creative with the moveset, imo.
The mode change is completely unique, and a counter move is pretty much the only way to represent his future sight, which is one of his defining abilities in xenoblade

SHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

So ready for smash now that my new main is in!

I was a bit iffy on his moves going by the leak but now...

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Wow. I knew about Shulk from the leak, but Riki, Dunban, and
Metal Face
showing up was totally awesome and unexpected.

Shulk and a free blowjob?

best day ever

Looks like a pretty solid character. I wish the mode switches added variations of his move set rather than just stat changes but that was probably too much to expect.

Lots of stuff to love. Oddly enough, what impressed me most was the shot of the Mechonis. His Final Smash is awesome, though I kind of wish different, random party members were summoned each time; I love them all. Dunban and Riki are boss, tho, and probably the ones I'd have chosen. :)

My only complaint was that I was hoping when Shulk came around it would also show off Ness in a Telepathy vs. Foresight fight.

That aside, Shulk looks awesome and I definitely hope we see that boss teaser lead to some cool PotDs next week.

I kind of dig what they're doing with his fighting style. A stance fighter in Smash is pretty interesting.

If he works as I think he does, he'll be quite the formidable opponent if he gets a chance to change Monado style fitting each situation. Which makes his weakness rather apparent. If you pressure him, he can't change Monado style, and will get punished for trying. Which is why he has a counter move. Shulk might actually be able to use that thing consistently, since you need to stop him from adapting to the battle, and yet if you do, he can counter you. So it becomes a mindgame. Counter, attack, or stance change vs. attack, grab, or wait.

I hope Shulk is viable at high level, I'd love to see him played to his fullest potential.

I just started Xenoblade. WELL I GUESS I KNOW DUNBAN JOINS ME :(

Believe me when I tell you that if you made a list of the top twists/spoilers in Xenoblade, that wouldn't make the top 100.
Seriously, the game is spoiler central, I'd avoid any and all contact with potential sources of spoilers if I were you. If this is all they're going to include in Smash, then that's fortunate for new players, since it's all material covered in either the first 1/10 of the game or the manual itself.

Dunno why, but it is a bit surreal seeing a character like Shulk in Smash. It's not like he's the first jrpg character we've had or anything. But I do like how he's a risk-reward sort of fighter with his stat changes.

AND GIVE REYN HIS CATCH PHRASE BACK SHULK. YOU FUCKING SHIT-ASS.

Man, it's just so crazy. If it wasn't for Operation Rainfall, Shulk could have ended up the same way as Marth and Roy for us NA players.

Now to see him in full Smash glory, along with all that Xenoblade content, brings a huge smile to my face. They even acknowledge one of the most popular memes. That trailer has everything you could ask for and more.

Mission accomplished everybody!

A big robot boss from the game called out Shulk.

Probably a stage boss for Smash Bros.

Do you know if there is going to be some kind of single player content on the Wii U versión?
And im hoping all these videos are in the game, but i have a bad feeling they will not.

Just woke up and holy shit. That stage. That music. That Shulk time. That final Smash.

Now I'll have a hard time deciding between Shorts Samus and Shorts Shulk.

Poor Shahadan

While he was my most unwanted character, I hate to admit that he seems fun to play as.
At least he has a better alt than his ugly ass clothes! (yes, any alt is better than his default.)
