Oh man, you must hate every single character in this game, because they're japanese and are from mostly cartoonish games (except maybe maybe maybe Samus). Shulk is far more realistic than most of the characters in this game (at least in Xenoblade he is).

I've been in contact with one of the leakers of the recent SSB4 "roster leak" and as it turns out, Dr. Mario and Duck Hunt Dog were deliberately designed to throw everyone off track. In other words, Duck Hunt Dog is either a trophy or an assist trophy (which is where his render came from) and Dr. Mario is actually just a costume alt for Mario ala Project M. Whether you choose to believe me or not is up to you, but I would sooner drink arsenic that be wrong. That's how much I trust my leaker buddies. Leaker friend out!

Strip store gamestops can actually choose if they want to do a midnight launch if it's not sponsored by someone (EA would often sponsor madden midnight launches, activision would sponsor call of duty ones).

Strip stores (as in, ones not in a mall) can actually open and close whenever the manager wants, regarding midnight launches, but they sacrifice store hours the rest of the week.

Mall stores are at the whims of the mall/sponsors, because they have to pay the mall for the 'extra' security guards, or conform to whatever the mall's policies are.

Yeah here on post the Gamestop is inside the PX.
So I know for them to pull midnights that aren't funded they have to pay a fee to stay open.
Because of that I have to wait until closer to release to preorder Smash. Since I really want to go to a midnight. Or else i'll be at a 24 Hour Walmart.

I really hope Gamestops do a midnight release for this. There were no midnight releases for MK8 and I really wanted to buy a physical copy, but I was weak and downloaded it anyway due to sheer hype. I don't want to make that mistake twice.

But given how many unique-looking Nintendo characters are out there, it's a little dissapointing to get so many generic anime characters.

Just a small criticism. It's not like it ruins the game for me or anything. There's been enough good character additions (fuckin Mega Man and Pac Man!) that I'm satisfied.
