PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

So I just bought the Digital copy of Bound By Flame from the PAX sale for the PS4 but I kept my installed copy from the rental I played of the game when it came out...it is not appearing on my notification/download list and if I click the download button from the store it says it's already being downloaded...if I click my installed icon from the rental it says no disc inserted...

Should I wait till the invisible download is done or should I uninstall the(rental installed) game...? I wanted to keep my save though and not start over...

EDIT: NM,Think I figured it out ;P

Dumb question, but the 4 games that got you $3, $6 or $10 back as a promotion last month were Rogue Legacy, The Swapper, Hohokum and Counterspy right?

Finally played SAO: HF and gotta say, really liking what I've been playing so far :D.

The visuals look really impressive on Vita; bright vivid colors in many of the locations I went to so far (Floor 76 Fields, Dungeon, Town and the very first parts of the Hallow area) alongside things running mostly stable (slow down here and there but nothing bad at all).

The music is very good and the controls are rock solid from what I played; the combat is a ton of fun and has a daunting amount of depth XD. At least five different fighting styles to play with on top of hundreds of skills to use.....that is a lot of combat options. I also love how dynamic the fights are, largely due to your party members being, well, party members.

I many other games, they are just 'there'; you give them commands and they follow them or in the case of other games (Kingdom Hearts series and Ys MoC for example), are just AI that do what ever they want. Here, they play huge roles in the fight, as your SP meeter goes down very fast, so giving them commands, following there ideas and giving them praise at the right time really helps fill up your SP gauge. Not to mention they are very useful in fights and the command menu with them is very streamless to use.

The translation so far is fine as well....granted, I just started playing (and already see grammar issues in the game :(), but I really don't mind it. I can fill in the fixes as I read the text, so its fine with me :).

The amount of content in this game is just....man, there is to much XD! The main floor areas, the Hallow Fields to explore and even a multiplayer dungeon (with 100+ floors XD!)....I will have this on my Vita for a very long time :D.

Now, only gotta get Jak Collection on the cheap some time this holiday and I will have all the Vita games I could ever want :D.

Between this and the many PS+ games coming on Tuseday (Volicty X2, Joe Danger, TxK)....this month is going be great :).

Working on my second playthrough of Dangan Ronpa before 2 hits, and the end of chapter 4 still gives me crazy goosebumps. Just
Kyoko's "Mukuro Ikusaba"
combined with that music. Gaaah, so good.

that is correct

Thanks man... picking up a lot of other stuff in that timeframe like Phantom Breaker, Metrico, Gravity Crash Ultra etc had me confused and until wracking my brain today I totally forgot that Rogue Legacy set the month/promo off... was starting to think I missed the $10 mark.

What are the release dates and prices of Freedom Wars and Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd?

I need to go back and play these from the start on the easiest mode.

Such great stories.

What are the release dates and prices of Freedom Wars and Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd?

Freedom Wars NA Release = October 28th
HM: Project Diva ff 2nd NA Release = November 18th

Not sure of pricing.

I'd have so much more money if someone didn't get me to buy SSD. And Danganronpa to a lesser extent.
Freedom Wars NA Release = October 28th

I think Freedom Wars is Oct 28th? I'm almost 100% certain it's $29.99
yup. and miku is in november i think
Thank god Destiny comes out in September. Trying to decide whether Guardian Edition or regular edition. Probably just gonna buy the DLC individually as it comes out since they come out in December and next Fall or something. Seriously, weird DLC scheduling. Don't even know how much is in them. Then there's Driveclub at $50. Gotta renew my PS+ too and buy a PS4 warranty. Does Sony still do the ~$5 of their games at launch thing? I'd love that for Freedom Wars.

Now Miku... Is Miku one of those games that has a limited print run? And will it follow being $30 like the first one?

Alright, I decided to start my Sept Giveaway a couple days early! This is my first time using modbot, so I honestly have no idea how this will work. I set the rules for a 24 hour raffle. Meaning, it should select a winner within 24 hours. I decided to make it 24 hours, so people have a chance to see this (since I'm posting it late at night). Plus it would suck if it was only open for 3 hours and people missed out on entering.

I apologize to everyone that I could only make this United States only. You can apply if you are in a different region, but you will need a US account in order to use the PSN serial as the serial code will NOT work for your region (this includes Canada). There are FIVE PSN codes. In order to enter, randomly choose one of the PSN codes you want to try for (Copy PSN $10 Code #3 -- MB-C33A71D0B4BA5B21 - Taken by ieptbarakat. 8 entrants total. for example, and paste that into body of the message of your PM to Modbot). Or see the GIF in the instructions if that doesn't make sense).

You can ONLY enter ONCE. Only your first entry will be counted.

As this is a raffle, just randomly pick a code you want to go for and enter. As such, try to pick at random so it's not like 100 + people all picking PSN Code #1 for instance. There is no way of telling which PSN code will have the most people choosing. Each unique code has it's own raffle between the people that applied for that code (the code you sent to mod bot). So 5 raffles will be done separately but you may only apply for one of the 5 raffles. Which one you choose is up to you.

ModBot said:
I am giving away 5 $10 PSN serial codes. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below that corresponds to the PSN code you want to try to win. (if you include more than one PSN code, you will be blocked from entering). Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.

ModBot Basics:
- This is a giveaway for the thread url: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=865991.
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (Azula, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- If you are a lurker--if you have both fewer than five posts in this thread--you are not eligible for this giveaway.
- This giveaway is a raffle. The winners will be selected by random draw 24 hours after the draw was created.
- Only one entry per person. Once you enter one of the 5 raffles Mod Bot will no longer accept any entry after the first.
- Each code has it's own raffle between those that applied for it. It's up to you which code you want to try for, but you can only apply for one!

And that will apply for each separate code that is entered).

Oh my. Thank you.

Nobody pick #2.

Or did I pick #4?

Or was it #3?

Or #5?

Or #1?

Muahahahaha.

What if everyone really did pick the same one? o_o But that's awesome Azula, 5 people are gonna be very happy in a day or two.

Gonna be a while before my Vita arrives. Every day that passes is torture... can't come soon enough. Even with all the New N3DS news today, the itch intensifies.

I guess this will be a "test" of sorts. Hopefully this giveaway goes smoothly. As I said, I've never used modbot before. But just to reiterate:

I. You have to send your PM to Modbot (not me).

II. You copy the full line of text that is PSN $10 Code #3 -- MB-TESTCODEWHATEVERlOL (or whatever PSN code you want to go for)
and send that to Modbot (again, not me). This goes in the body of your message (the subject line can be anything, it just needs to be sent to Modbot). The line of code you are sending modbot is how it knows which giveaway to enter you into (and the code is specified to this thread only, w/ the custom rules attached to it).

III. Pick only one of the 5 codes at random you want to apply for. Since the rules are set for Raffle, I ASSUME that it will raffle the code off between all the people that applied for that specific code, and do so for each code separately. So if 20 people applied for Code #1, then the raffle would be between 20 people (only for that code). If 50 people applied for Code #2, then it would raffle it off between those 50 people only.

IV. You can only pick ONE code to enter, sending a second code will auto block you from the raffle (it's how modbot is set up).

For whatever reason if this doesn't work (or there is a fuck up), don't worry I'll make sure to make it right. But for now, just apply the way the instructions says, and then we'll see how it works in 24 hours up.

Now Miku... Is Miku one of those games that has a limited print run? And will it follow being $30 like the first one?

Sega was predicting the first game's print run to sell out from the start: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=80230949

$40 rather than $30 this time, but I don't really consider the first one to be $30 since you'd want to get the $10 DLC song pack as well. Both games have about the same number of songs after adding the DLC for the first one.

If I could buy you a beer through the internet, I'd give you one.

I entered the raffle. I just got my Vita a couple weeks ago so my PSN wallet could use all the help it can get.

It's very cool you're doing this, Azula.

I can't but feel weird ordering from a place named Superufo that is based in Hong Kong. It goes against every instinct I possess in terms of buying online. But I've heard nothing but good things and it would be $20 cheaper than Amazon.

How fast of a platinum is PS All-Stars? Feel like I could make it a fun project to get that done before that other similar game coming out on the handheld that shall not be named comes out next month.

Is it reliable? I've been stop buying shit from Play-asia because it's such a rip-off, and I notice they are from the same place but have such price difference.

CAG and Gamefaqs seem to vouch for it so I went ahead and ordered it. I've heard it takes about a week to deliver with Airmail which is only like $3.

To be fair PA probably has the best policies and customer service of the popular import shops (not enough to justify their prices). But yes superufo is legit

Generous giveaway Azula!

Hope I win a 10$ for my new Vita catalog :D! Thanks Azula!

I'm loving Dragon's Crown, and it surprised me. When I played it in PS3 months ago, I didn't like it, but I decided to give it a try on the Vita, and I don't know why, but this game feel so great on this system.

Wipeout 2048 is another game I'm loving it, but I sort of knew I would.

Is Injustice: Gods Among Us and Batman Origins Blackgate worth in the Vita? I was planning on get Injustice on PS3, but maybe I will squeeze it better on the Vita
