While we're on the subject of the Samus Amiibo... what's with her boring pose? She looks like this
Why not something... cool? Like this maybe?
Or something along these lines.
Though even if they wanted a neutral pose to show off the suit, it could have worked better if it was more dynamic.

So I guess that picture going around is the starting roster. Would make sense to me. They seem to be moving towards unlockable everything else and far less unlockable fighters. I hope there are more stages. There are a lot of returning ones on 3DS that I didn't care for. And I don't have much hope left that stage creator is coming back.

I like the Samus pose. I don't need another "Samus pointing her gun at me" pose, her new one looks cool.
At least the stage builder is something that could feasibly be a Wii U exclusive mode without controversy. I wouldn't rule it out at this point.

Doesn't have to be a "pointing her gun at you" pose. We just posted a bunch that aren't like that. Anything that isn't dainty would have been fine. I don't think that works for a bounty hunter in a power suit.
Right? I would've been kind of fine with that pose for ZSS, but it just looks weird in the Varia Suit. To me it looks like she's trying to walk a straight line for a sobriety test more than it is elegant.
Even barring that It's just so neutral and boring for a woman in a giant metal suit. Giving her something as simple as Megaman's pose would be so much better to me.
Still going to buy her amiibo though.

Samus amiibo has a great pose. It looks commanding. Like she's just gonna walk right at you cause she doesn't take any shit. It looks way more "in control" than kneeling, for example. Ironically the runway model comparison is not far off because walking with confidence is what they're paid to do.
It's been embargoed until the 13th.

Just abandon your hope for now then you might get surprised later on if they got in.

Someone somewhere is going to leak it. I'm not going to pressure Ash, and I definitely don't expect him to be the one, nor do I expect a 4chan type leak. Because it's the gaming media, I expect some website is going to break the embargo by a few hours, being eager to get dibs on 1st story

Embargo's don't seem to mean as much as they usually do in the game media I find.

A scoop they can't report on until the game has probably been in Japanese people's hands for days and plastered all over the Internet. Making the whole affair entirely pointless for everyone.
Juicy scoop in this case probably meaning "we'll take away your press code access if you don't shut up."

He's not supposed to but he already did yesterday and quickly deleted the tweet. He said that it was going to expire on the 13th, when the Japanese release is out. (AKA the information will be irrelevant to us by then).

To be fair, it's not like people with the japanese release will have everything unlocked from the very beginning, and we won't know the quickest unlock requirements right away

The thought process is that there will be copies out in the while up to a week before the official release date and that's where the information will start pouring out.
See: Pokemon, Smash Bros. Brawl, every other remotely hyped game ever.

I'm pretty sure serebii Joe will have everything in like, within 24 hours of the game being sold early, if not far earlier. He seems to unlock stuff in games incredibly fast, or knows someone who does.
And some stuff is fairly obvious like Doc will almost certainly be beating Classic Mode with Mario.
