"New Pork City"

Stage itself takes place on random floating platforms in front of the city itself. So lame.

That and Rumble Falls were my least favorite in brawl, a big part in the stuff NocturnOwl mentioned with just random ladders and switches making it feel like a proof of concept of the stage builder more than an actual stage. And that's without mentioning the speed of it made it so you barely could focus on a fight and had to move constantly.

I've been playing some games from Smash characters I had not played (Earthbound, Mega Man...) and I loved them all, really, but one. Ice climbers is HORRIBLE. It's quite boring and its collision detection is messed up big time.

I still love them and want them back anyway u.u

Dark Pit is at least a different character if you actually played KI:U, Good/Evil Cole is still the biggest waste of space. Mario and Doc Mario is closer to Good/Evil Cole then Pit/Dark Pit

In terms of moveset. Yeah Dark Cole and Good Cole was a waste.
But in the actual games there's pretty big differences in the character,

Dark Samus actually looks more than a character recolor though

Unlike Dark Pit

I've already come to terms that he's in.
As I said it's just the fact he looks exactly the same and not even his name.
He could be called samuel and i'd still think the design is the biggest issue.

This is regardless of his moveset.
Dark Pit is exactly the same as Pit but he has a different personality. I'm still not sure why they'd make him a different character. There's still hope though that he'll have different weapons. KIU had a wide range and Pit only uses a few of them.

Thanks fellow junior! :)

And do tell, what was favourite stage in Brawl?

I have a very competitive mind set, so I guess I never really thought about this. But now that you ask, when I think in a non-competitive mindset, Frigate Orpheon comes to mind. I really didn't like it at first, but ever since playing Super Metroid on the Virtual Console, I've come to have more appreciation for anything Metroid related. And the stage flip can really throw the battle in anyone's direction if you are in party mode.

I'm also a fan of Delfino Plaza. I actually liked Mario Sunshine, and I love the music for that stage. It also gives off a happy vibe, maybe because it's relatively colorful compared to the other stages.

GAF was down for a moment. So, I looked at my FB news feed and saw that there was official videos for Shulk. So I thought "that must be why". :P

I know i've played KIU.
But it's not like a lot of that personality is going to make its way through in battle.
My complaint with him is his look. Which I know is pretty ridiculous but i'm just hung up on it.
A Alt costume of some sort is going to shut me up quick though.

But the name can make the difference

Imagine if Dark Samus was announced playable( with moves like her AT, completely different from Samus).

Even after the next gen Smash Bros is out, some people would still label her as a clone because of her name

Maybe, nobody is labeling Zero Suit Samus as a clone, however. And people also label characters as clones that have unique names and unique or fairly different movesets. They just call characters they don't like clones because clones are considered a bad thing by a lot of people.

Characters I've seen called clones before: Wolf and Lucas (of course), Ike (of Marth), Lucario (of Mewtwo), Jigglypuff (of Kirby), Snake (of Sheik - in this very thread), Ice Climbers (of Kirby cause of their similar faces, not a joke), and Wario (of Mario).

Smash was the reason I decided to play the original Kid Icarus. I don't know if it's just me, but that game is too hard for me. I plan on finishing it one day, but it's really frustrating to me. And this is from a guy who played through Super Ghouls and Ghosts and loved it.

WUT.
That had to be sarcastic.

Yeah, that's why I've been supporting Dark Pit in the past but people apparently really hate the idea about it so they were very verbal about it so I decided to keep my support quiet. So I put third kid icarus representation in my wish list and Dark Pit in my prediction list.

Man, I am absolutely stoked that my dude Pittoo made it into the roster as a character and not as an alternate costume! Pittoo is the joining the ranks of my mains alongside the Links, Marth and Shulk (
Ridley too pls Sakurai
).

I wonder why they still haven't confirmed communities for Smash, if Mario Golf can get it, why not Smash?
Also, it'll be much easier to do Smash Run with GAF instead of adding 100 friend codes and deleting inactive people every week or something.

Wait, WTF?

Communities in Smash would be godsend.

GAF tourneys would be incredibly easy to set up.

Probably because the team that worked on Communities for those games isn't on Smash.

I'd be surprised if he had a whole new arsenal. I'm expecting him to retain the Brawl Pit moveset.

Still not a huge fan of that, but I mentioned before how much I dislike the notion of how confusing they could get with alt colors.

If he's fired and has the game.
WHY still the terrible shots then. Not hard to take a decent pic with a phone now of a 3DS game.
That's was my first indicator.

My guess is that Dark Pit will share all of his moves with Pit except his side B and down B which will be replaced with two different Uprising Weapons. Dark Pit staff for his new side b and Pandora claws for his new down B.

I would've thought the first indicator that something is off about it would be the huge black border around the edges of the portrait that you can clearly see isn't on any of the other character boxes :3

I was barely looking at the image while reading the text.
Thought thats a good point.

How many hours do you all think you've cumulatively spent throughout your life playing Smash Bros.?

Pretty sure it was at 300 hours on Brawl last I checked.

Wouldn't the Dark Pit Staff work better for his neutral B? They're both long-ranged weapons and you could have it as 'more powerful but shots don't curve'.

I guess he will use the Silver Bow :p
