Sony Pre-TGS 2014 SCEJA Conference - Wait we're in Japan? [Over]

I want a good RPG to get announced. Also, if HSG gets announced I'll more than likely buy it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the PS SK game showed to tomorrow.

Wait, what!?

No... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

LOL!

Maybe MS is going to get FF15 as part of some "Capcom 5" type deal with SE along with Tomb Raider and something else.

FF15 seems like it could use a platform holder to come in and take over the producer roll since SE seems to be messing it up over and over. MS can do what they did with Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall.

/delusional musings

I think this was already a rumour but with SCEJ helping out early last year before E3 and they announced it for both consoles. I wouldn't be shocked if that was actually true until some point mid 2013. Would also explain why the game pretty much immediately returned to development again once SCEJ pulled out for obvious reasons.

What I want is:

Final Fantasy XV trailer
Persona 5 details
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD trailer
Hot Shots Golf for PS4
Resident Evil Remake trailer

Even if those aren't there I won't be disappointed.

The first one will probably be a no-show. The rest of your list, however, one could expect to get...

I'm pretty sure the folklore devs are closed. I doubt it will ever get a sequel.

It's a weird issue actually:

In 2011, Okamoto laid off most of Game Republic's staff, shut down his blog and watched the rumors appear online.

Officially, he says, the company still exists, though basically just on paper — he's keeping it afloat because he hopes to repay the debt at some point. He's the only employee and he's no longer working under the company name, describing it as "frozen" and in "sleep mode."

[...]

He had ideas for sequels to Game Republic titles Folklore and Majin; he had ideas for licensed titles based on franchises like Naruto; his studio was developing an unannounced original game in its final days.

But basically yeah GR is all but gone at this point and a sequel still isn't likely

Wait, what!?

No... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

lol

I am hoping for Ultra Street Fighter IV with cross play online support with the PS3 user base. I also hope we get new PS4 features such as PS1 and PS2 Classics.

Don't think FFXV will be there (I expect it at TGS tho) but I can see Hashimoto coming up stage and do a "please be excited".

Predictions for Sony related stuff:

- Gravity Rush PS4 AND Vita, game is build around the PS4 though.
- Expect some big third party multiplatform game announcement.
- A"soon to be vaporware" exclusive PS4 game from a semi-big Japanese dev.
- NO PS4 version of Persona 5, the PS3 is being kept alive.
- SEGA game *hint* Yakuza Japan exclusive *hint*
- I guess Square-Enix will show something? Idk. It will be nothing new (game wise, not content/gameplay wise) but fans will cry and praise SE like there is no tomorrow.
- No "Super Secret Yoshinori Ono PS4 project". Capcom is a corpse, get over it.
- Sony Japan will reveal an A/AA exclusive game, they may reveal another game on which they may be working on together with some other Japanese dev (PS4)
- Known PS4 games will be shown, Bloodborne, Let It Die, multiplatforms like MGSV etc etc
- Bundles, deals, colors, stuffs, and more!
- Indie "lower budget" games.
- Falcom and Nis may be present.
- Vita stuff that may or may not take up to half of the conference time.

I'm not even going to put TLG on that list because that's not going to be there, wait for E3 and please be excited.
...

Nothing really surprising but still an OK showing nonetheless.

Gonna quote myself from that other TGS thread as I think my predictions are pretty accurate /shameless self plug.

Laughing at people hoping for FFXV and even harder at the ones thinking it will be Xbox One exclusive, if that's true then I sure hope MS is ready to shelf out a meaty 7-8 figure sum.

I wonder if we will see MGR2 announcement tomorrow. Kojima clearly wants the game to happen and he has a good history of surprising us with announcements in Sony conferences (P.T and all...)

LOL

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't see how Japanese audience could get so excited and run off to buy PS4 for Type-0.The game is 4 years old for them and has already been released and performed well enough.

So maybe they'll have to show something regarding FF15 or Maybe they'll show something concerning Agni's Philosoph and FF16!!!! ;)

It feels like there has been more conferences and announcements than there have been actual games to play in 2014.

Here come beyond the believe my dream for the TGS 2014 :D
Sequel for all those games

Oh brother, you're torturing yourself. Keep your expectations low, so that even if it's just a sequel to recent game would be a pleasant surprise for you.

There might be a new Wild Arms, but it's probably still in early pre-planning / pre-production phase [1]

Or maybe even new Arc The Lad, since Sony recently just submitted trademark filing for it [2]. But the trademark filing was submitted last year, so it might be too early to tell.

Keep your expectations lower for Konami and Square too.

I am extremely grateful that BloodBorne exists.

Honestly when I think about it I find it hard to believe that something so good is happening and getting AAA treatment and attention.

Thank the Lord. This is a huge thing guys.Don't take it for granted.

An incredibly amazing Japanese game is coming soon.
