Fresh from 2 weeks ago:

-snip-

Man, between TLG and BB, GAF spends a lot of time talking about games I don't care about. >_<

But srsly though, the guy also said XV would be out in 2014. Of course, last year I thought that too. But since the game vanished after E3 2013 I have to assume it's back to business as usual.

...Scratch that. My current stance is that if it's a no show at TGS, then I'm pretty much declaring the game vaporware. "Unveiling Type-0 HD" is NOT an excuse not to show the status of your main game, sorry.

As far as FF XVI...oh, I wish. I don't want a "sequel" to FFXV. I want it to come out and go away. lol, the way things are going 16 SHOULD come out the year after 15 with all the time they've had.

0 chance of seeing The Last Guardian

Reboot with Ang Lee as director, starring Aaron Paul.

While I don't know who the hell would be a better choice, Ang Lee wouldn't be my pick if it comes down to making a Suikoden game. What it needs are directors that can tell a great war story that has a large cast, while maintaining strong identity of all sides. Ang Lee is better in terms of emotional storytelling.
.
Hideo Kojima.
Shoji Kawamori. ( lulz choice)
Idris Elba.
Zone of 3nders.

I'll book a ticket on the hype train.

Expecting -
More on Bloodborne, Deep Down, Psycho Break and Yakuza.

Likely -
Gravity Rush 2 (PS4) and perhaps a port of the original game to PS4 too. Also at least one Japanese dance game, a Disgaea title, HSG and a trailer for FF Type-0 HD and MGSV.

Slim chance of -
A trailer for FFXV, a new AAA title from Studio Japan and something from Level 5.

No chance -
The Last Guardian :(

I'm guessing not much new will come from this, even though they badly need to convince Japan to buy their console.

Listen to IGN's NVC from Friday.

They have a guest on there (he doesn't work for IGN) and right near the end of the podcast, he says that Sony has some big things planned for Japan and people that love Japanese games.

I don't remember what his job is, specifically, but he said something about helping to start the Kickstarter for Mighty No. 9 and doing PR for Mighty Gunvolt. He lives in Japan.

This was so insanely disappointing last year....well its just an entriely different venue and style....its a literal press conference every year, dont get too excited
