The one from the Japanese eShop.

UMvC3 is one of those "Easy to Learn, Difficult to Master" games. It's not that hard to jump into.

You're crazy. MvC has an awful learning curve. There's so much happening on screen at any given time that it's easy to lose track of what's even going on, and the game is entirely about learning and perfectly executing 100+ hit combos. If you haven't spent like 50 hours in training mode learning your team - and make sure to choose one team and stick with it, because these skills don't transfer - then you're basically useless against anyone who has any clue what they're doing.

Yup, that's my girlfriend. She has basically already accepted that they're not in and has told me she has no interest in the new smash bros. Looks like I'll be playing with you guys :p

I don't think SSB holds much appeal for my wife either. I suspect we'll play the Wii U version some together, but maybe not even that.

Oh look, someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Please continue, I love these kinds of posts.

Have we still not seen Peach's Daisy alt yet? Think they're holding it back because they want to show off a bunch of 'this alternate costume is another character' costumes at once alongside Bowser Jr's Koopalings reveal or something?

Because I could see them bumping that recolor up to a full actual alt costume with different voicework this time around, since the tech for doing so exists.

At last Blood Falcon is finally a character in Smash!

...is what I wanna say. Please make it happen Sakurai.

Would make sense to me and be a good idea as well.

Sakurai said he doesn't want alts to be different characters so I suspect it will be a recolor like in the previous games.

I played half of the NES and N64 games. I never liked them.

The experimental Kirbys, like Canvas Curse and Mass Attack, are totally different kinds of games. You might enjoy them a lot more. Neither are traditional platformers, per se. Both have really unusual and clever control schemes.

Sure it was posted but Chapter 12 is up.
Absolutely love all the stuff the writer has been doing with my character.
It's so ridiculous i love it.

I'm pretty sure that Icedoesnthelp is giddy that she's in the story now. However, I think writer made a mistake with timeline. The future SmashGAF killed Blizzard in the future so how the heck did Blizzard Jr got upset about his father's death in the past when it hasn't happened yet in the past.

You don't question time travel.
There's always a answer. Though it may be too much for us to comprehend.

With that said I love how I have died Twice so far.

Who do I trust?!

Honest question:

I see a lot of people REALLY lamenting the possible loss of the Ice Climbers (more than Wolf and even Lucas). While I agree with that and are also lamenting their loss should that actually happen, how many of you are sad about it because you actually main them and not sad just because it doesn't "feel" like Smash without them, even if you never play them? Just curious.

For me, I fully admit to not playing them all THAT often; I'm decent with them in Brawl, but they're definitely not anywhere close to my main or secondaries, and they're probably a distant third-stringer for me. As for Melee, I wasn't very good with them at all there. So for me, it's more about the overall feeling that it just doesn't feel like a proper Smash without them, after having had them in Melee and Brawl.

What say you all?

Likewise, I'm not a huge Ice Climbers player, but they've had such an iconic presence in the series since Melee, and it would be a real shame to lose such an original game mechanic. I'm thrilled with all of the new characters and the various other changes we're seeing, but I agree that it doesn't "feel" like Smash without Popo and Nana.

ESRB wants to see all potentially offensive content that will be on the final package, so if anything they'd want to see final or near final code.

Nah, ESRB webpage says they get a version of the game but not necessarily the final

Out of curiosity, does the Japanese Shulk trailer have new voice acting or is still clipped from the game?

Curious if it was partly a problem of matching his lipsynching in the CG.

As someone with over 1000 hours in the above game, I can say with confidence that he has no idea what he is talking about.

True or false - Shulk is the last remaining character Nintendo will officially unveil before the 3DS version releases in Japan...

It actually says neither. They don't get a "version" of the game, just written text and a video.

http://www.esrb.org/ratings/ratings_process.jsp

a completed ESRB online questionnaire detailing the game's pertinent content, which essentially translates to anything that may factor into the game's rating. This includes not only the content itself (violence, sexual content, language, controlled substances, gambling, etc.), but other relevant factors such as context, reward systems and the degree of player control; and
a DVD that captures all pertinent content, including typical gameplay, missions, and cutscenes, along with the most extreme instances of content across all relevant categories. Pertinent content that is not playable (i.e., "locked out") but will exist in the game code on the final game disc must also be disclosed.

They don't need to see all content, just the most extreme examples that might fit in each category that weights in the game's classification. That's why we saw in the ESRB video a demonstration of the camera looking under some of the female trophy's skirts, for example. They wouldn't need to shot every female trophy with an applicable skirt though, just some examples.

In the same way, they wouldn't need to see characters that won't weight in the game's classification. Even considering the leak we have right now, there are several characters shown in the selection screen without videos. If Nintendo did end up showing the full selection screen there, it was likely a slip up, like Lucario/Jigglypuff in a Brawl commercial, although in this case likely because they didn't expect a leak like this. However, they wouldn't need to show the complete screen - and other parts of the video showed a not final game (trophies without descriptions) and a game without everything unlocked (All Star mode locked).
