Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 14: Snake... had a hard life

I blame FLUDD for Mario being so low. We finally got the awesometastic Fire Mario alt in Brawl & it's ruined by FLUDD's presence.

He did not. For Brawl he showed 2 secret characters before release (Sonic and Snake). If the roster on the eShop is the starting roster, he will have already shown us 1 unlockable (Lucina).

Right right, but we also knew about ness and marth thanks to the intro video he showed us before release.

But apart from leaks Sakurai didnt reveal the remaining characters until after the games release right?

It just makes me wonder because I hope we get cool videos for all the newcomers. (didnt he say something like that, wanting to do a special video for all the characters?)

Also I play Mario in smash more than I do in his own games. Mario has been way fun in every smash
 
I swear Peach is rigged in the earlier Mario Party games.

My sister always won with her. So I played her once...and won.

Mario is my boy! Well, Doc, really; all of the goods with more of a punch. FLUDD is sucky, but hopefully Smash 4 is a return to form in a few ways.

He's got some competition for my main this time, though... can't wait to try everyone out!

If we didn't know about the roster, how would we know that Ganondorf is in the game as an unlockable?

Also I would like to include fun but depressing fact: For Smash 4, we lost a franchise per sequels. Alright, we would go with the leak roster for now, along with the rumor.

Melee: Ice Climbers
Brawl: Meta Gear Solid
Smash 4: (More likely) Rhythm Heaven

I just wish that all franchise would remain in the game with a playable representative. That's one of reasons why early leak suck because if its not for Gematsu then we wouldn't know Chorus Kid were considered.

Speaking off, we better get another title shout at the start screen like in 64 and Melee or I'm going to be extremely disappointed.

Eh, there have always been characters considered but who didnt make it in. I mean, dont we know like a list a characters from each game who were considered and even planned but didnt end up making it?

Even without Bowser Jr. this roster is very very good and continues to showcase nintendo characters from all over its history.

Cute! The execution is just a little lacking, but I would absolutely love to see something like this for Smash 4/5.

I did think they were in the game when I first saw the intro. You have no idea how disappointed I was when I unlocked Game & Watch and got the message that I had unlocked everyone in the game.

Yeah, there are many characters that have been considered to be in the game at the point. Here is the list from top of my head but it don't meant it's accurately right. Just need someone to double check to make sure that I'm not mistaken.

64: Bowser, Dedede, Mewtwo, Wolf (Citation Needed)

Melee: Johto Pokemon Trainer, Dedede (Sakurai choose 6 clones over Dedede) Also Snake and Sonic were too late to be in the game.

Brawl: Dixie, Dr. Mario, Toon Zelda/Toon Sheik, Roy, Mewtwo, Plu & Min. (My opinion that Villager, Mii and Nintendog were considered but they decided went against that) Also Miyamoto requested Sakurai to included Pac Man as well.

Smash 4: Chorus Kid (rumor)

One of the better ways to kill 24 hours.

Smash has done wonders for me with regards to discovering new games. Not so much this time around, since I think I've beaten at least one game for each playable character, but Brawl and Melee led me to Fire Emblem, Metroid, Game and Watch, Earthbound and Mother 3, and Metal Gear (starting with the original on NES).

Maybe I should be looking at ATs next. Never did get into Golden Sun after all.

When do we get the picture? The times seem all over the place every time I get to stay up, so when has it been lately?

The war has just begun

also I hope its more explanation on shulk's moveset but still be vague enough to speculate, the most enjoyable time I have here on neogaf was when Sakurai did just that for Robin and smashgaf was analyzing all of it and led to some great discussion.
