PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

Crap GAF, I want to buy that light pink Vita. I think my Vita-1000 would be replaced with a weird colored vita-2000 if I can see one in stores.

Then play a Senran Kagura while riding a train.

Thanks! Yeah, crazy, I know. I'd rather not tell the exact city but it's in Baden-Württemberg (South Germany).

I wonder if it's another PSP situation where the PS platform is way more popular with younger boys than the (3)DS. No idea, though.

Good to see another Vita-Gaffer from the "Ländle"! :)

Meltdown avoided. Will stay as a Vita only user until the next Gran Turismo (or Silent Hills) drops. May become a PS4 user earlier if YS drops earlier than expected.

Now on to watch the conference...

As an owner of both systems, you're making the right call, honestly. I feel like you could wait on the PS4 for 2 years and not miss much.

Does anyone remember last year did Sony showed everything they have in pre-TGS conference or not?

If only it's that easy to sell the Vita.

They probably have only shown stuff that will not be at the showfloor. So there is a big chance for Gravity Rush 2 and still a little chance left for TLG.

Best PS+ month in a looong time.

Oh also, Don't Starve. I'll finally have something to discuss with you guys! I mean, unless you want to talk about Broken Sword 5's frustratingly convoluted puzzles?

My memory of BS5 is a little hazy atm, but the puzzles were fine IMO, typical PnC stuff.

BTW, do we have any real idea of when Oreshika 2 is coming out in the West? They talked about it months ago and it seemed to float around on various sites as a late 2014 game, but now it seems to be in TBA limbo.

It's a SCE-published Japanese game, which means we won't know anything about it until at most a month before release.

As I understand it GE2s levels felt small even on the Vita(as the original was made for PSP), do you think they'll redesign the maps for the burst version?

I just woke up and saw some reactions. P5 on the PS4? I'll definitely buy one now. New Ys and SK for the Vita made me happy too, but the revival of Luminous Arc?

That's my favorite news of the evening.

EDIT: Wait, VR waifus? As I said in another thread, Japan has gone too far this time.

Would buy if it ever came here, but I know it won't. Hopefully PS4 is not region locked.

I don't know, I just had to
shake construction equipment in perfect sequence to play "Ave Maria" in order to comfort a disillusioned tourist.
. Can't quite remember Shadow of the Templars being that bad.

Ok, got back.

First of all, wtf Sony. I went to three stores and the first two also were completely out of MCs. That makes three in total for today that didn't have any, effectively rendering any Vita purchases in those stores useless. One of the clerks told me that Sony wasn't keeping up with resupplying them ("typical Sony", he said, lol). If you insist on continuing the PSP lineage of dumb storage solutions, make sure people at least have the option of buying into said (overpriced) solutions.

Anyway, third store had a 4GB standalone one and then a couple of 8GB ones with different games included as DL codes. I wanted a 16GB one, though, and luckily, they had one left with a bunch of Lego games included (anyone know the size of that download btw?).

I also got Danganronpa and Sly Collection.

This concludes the acquisition part of today (finally!). Gonna set up the machine now, take care of PS+ and all that jazz. I still have credit to burn, as well, so I'm not quite done shopping, yet.

Congratulations for your purchases. Someone should make a "You bought Danganronpa" gif.

Dont bother with the Lego games.

I considered giving away the code here but if they're bad ports I wouldn't feel comfortable inflicting that upon someone, haha.

If someone really wants this Lego bundle (Indie, Batman 1&2, Pirates, Star Wars 3, HP5-7), send me a PM, I guess.

Just to clarify, it's the code for the EU PSN Store, right?

Persona 5 on PS4 is lovely, a shame that Dragon Quest Heroes wasn't an rpg instead of musou though. Another Ys on Vita is great, just hope it performs better on Vita this time. Also, what is Touhou? I'm not famillar with that series.

Oh, and themes are awesome

Touhou is a quite popular doujin Bullet Hell Shooter franchise which spawned a lot of fan-made media in forms of games, doujinshis, music, etc.

Enjoy your vita, daydreaming! Now there is a good sale on the EU store so I would check it out (I recommend Atelier games if you haven't tried them before). Oh, I read your issue with memory cards... Shame.
And I need Danganronpa 2 in my life. Friday can't come soon enough... :(

Touhou and Kancolle on the same system is just a bloodbath of potential sales waiting to happen. Can't wait to see what comes out of it.

Will the Vita version of Kancolle be just an adaptation of the browser game or something else? I played it a bit when I was in Japan and I have to admit that it was quite addicting...

With how the IP problem and VPN process to go through to play the game, I'd prefer if it's something different, like how Puzzle and Dragon Z compare to the mobile game.

I'm telling you, Sony should have shown it during their conference today. What a blunder, to hold back their trump for so long. :(

2 millions device and memory card sales guaranteed. What a shame, Sony.

^lmao, nice

They'd literally be swimming in Vita $$$ right now.

Thanks! Yeah, I will check out the store shortly. Vita is still charging and I'm creating a PSN account in the meantime. The MC hunt had a happy ending, at least. :)

Hooray! What an amazing conference.

3rd parties do what Sony don't. All of those announcements confirm Vita is alive in 2015 in the west. Plus being PS4 multiplat increase their chances of localization too.

What's it like owning two Vita's with a single US PSN account? Can I still play both and do they synchronize their saves to the cloud? Or is it unworkable?
