I second this. At any rate, Bungie has made things kind of a clusterfuck and clans are likely to have a rocky start no matter what. Adding each other as PSN/Live friends will make for the easiest collaboration/jolliest cooperation -- at least in the early going.

Progenitor is a Destiny (Xbox One) clan formed by gamers who have played dozens of games together for nearly a decade. While originally "officially" formed in World of WarCraft for the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, some of our core members have been playing games together since the rise of online gaming. A few examples of games that some of our core members have played together include World of WarCraft, DOTA 2, and Halo 2.
Our goal and reason for formation is two-fold; We want to put together a group or groups to raid in Destiny. Raids in Destiny require 6 players and loads of coordination and communication. The way raids work is as follows. Groups have one-week to progress as far as they can in a raid dungeon. Every Tuesday, the dungeon resets. Each boss in each raid dungeon has a specific loot table and will reward players with random items off that loot table when killed. In order to earn the best gear in Destiny, players will need to kill the bosses in raids each week to maximize their characters potential by upgrading his/her gear. Our goal as a clan will be to progress as far as we can in each raid each week, so we can upgrade everyone's gear and ready ourselves for the next raid to be released. And maybe to show off in Crucible PvP a bit too. So the reason we exist is to get a group or groups raiding together so we can make our Destiny characters the best that they can be.
Our second reason for formation is to have fun while doing what I just described above. Anyone who has ever played an MMO or otherwise extremely competitive multiplayer game knows that there are plenty of unpleasant players out there. We want Progenitor to be a clan full of people who like each, who can get along, work together for the betterment of the clan, and have fun while doing it. If you're not able to enjoy yourself and have a few laughs while playing shooters, we probably don't want you here. Our founding "core" members know each other in real life, and we want the element of light hearted brotherhood intact throughout Progenitor's growth and establishment.

As for loot in Destiny, the loot streams are personal, and yes that goes for raids too, so any loot you see is for you only.

The below is from this week's Bungie Weekly update. Loot is unique indeed unique to each player, but that doesn't mean that you won't need to continually clear each raid to get all the loot that each of us needs/wants.

You can fill out the application or just talk to me. I was a Guild Leader in WoW, and believe me, having an application helps. It's like hiring people for a job...If you can't fill out an application correctly, you're probably not going to make the greatest employee. There just needs to be some sort of initial contact with myself or fill out the application so I can tell what kind of person you are. There's nothing worse than playing with self absorbed and rude people. Whenever you're opening up any kind of group or organization to the public it's always good for there to be some sort of exchange and introduction.

I mean I guess if you're being extremely selective this will work, but with easy application methods everywhere else you're closing the doors down for most people who don't want to put in the effort when there's a just as good of an alternative with more players.

Like I said, you can just as easily message me and tell me your name, when you're available to play and do it that way. The application is really just in case we start growing large and have to be selective.
