A little bit after posting about the voice chat stuff I got PM from a longtime lurker of SmashGAF named Devo and he's offered to host a server for us! He's apparently well versed in this kind of thing and is also in a position where this is not a big deal for him. I'm still debating between what service to use (I'm leaning towards TeamSpeak if different rooms is indeed a feature), but if this works out then that's our biggest hurdle crossed! Huge shout out to Devo for doing this!

He'll make something entirely new, Sakurai hates doing sequels. Smash is the exception, since he considers it an ongoing 'nintendo museum' project that gets rennovated every once in a while.

I think the Bandai-Namco team might make Smash DLC though, with him consulting.

The man loves to work, so I wouldn't be surprised if started developing something else afterwards (although he really should take a break....he's earned at least a year off or so).

My guess is that he'll focus on some rounds of DLC, then maybe get cracking on something new.

Me either, but I'm doing research and it seems like a solid service. If we have a server, it should just be a matter signing up like you would for any forum. We'll see though, still looking into it.

I recommend Mumble. Teamspeak and Mumble both have rooms and sub-rooms and users can make extra rooms when they need to, but Mumble is less cluttered and easier for newbies to understand.

Teamspeak was popular amongst WoW guilds but it's basically only used by groups that were already using it, everything new uses Mumble these days. Voice chat quality is great and it can read the text chat out as a text-to-speech voice for the non-mic users.

But really I think both are solid choices, just personally I think Mumble is more user-friendly for the unfamiliar.

Next friday some folks with 3DS capture cards and a twitch account are going to be making some fast money.

There were people streaming when Mario Kart 8 came out with tons of subscribers and thousands in donations and I've never seen them stream a single game again.

I figure Joe won't take subscribers, so it'll be nice for those hawks to have some competition.

I'm not going to run ads or ask for donations. That would just stress me out.

I really doubt Ganondorf will be lucky enough to get unique custom moves if they aren't doing much of anything to his standard moveset. At best, I'm expecting some of his custom moves to become projectile attacks (with the same animation, but releasing a projectile - At the very least, it seems easily doable with his neutral B).

Just to note I've used TeamSpeak on OS X before with no problems. Since this is a Unix system I assume it should be fine for Linux users as well.

Why Dead Man's Volley still hasn't been added as a special is beyond me. It's been in so many of the Zelda games, and a projectile you could reflect causing it to be more powerful and faster would be pretty cool.

I feel there's a lot more to Ganondorf than what we know from some early ERSB footage - even if its mostly in the custom moves. They've gone and made overhauls, some major while some minor, to practically every veteran. I find it hard to believe Ganondorf hasn't been touched at all. All we saw were a few kicks, jabs and an Up+B. Not much to be frank.
