ACTUAL IMPORTANT NEWS TIME
D1 was talking on his stream about the Wii U version at PAX. He says he was using Pikachu and trying to space forward airs. If you don't know what I'm talking about, lets say Pikachu is facing left. You space a fair by jumping, hitting left on the c stick, then holding right on the analog stick. This allows the character to weave back, usually to get out of your opponent's range.
Anyways, he tried this with the c stick, and Pikachu barely weaved back. Then he tried it again with just the A button and analog stick... and apparently Pikachu had WAY more aerial control. That is REALLY weird. Basically, the game is acting differently depending on your method of input, even though you're doing the same action. That's really strange. Kinda sounds like a glitch, honestly.
It's 15:00 into this video.
Oh god. I really hope Falco gets a new final smash. One that's about as powerful as his previous landmaster would be cool. Just something different would be cool!*Jumps in Submarine*
Final Smash fixed!
Since I'm a casual player, does anybody have any good/exciting competitive matches worth watching?
I'd choose the top on personally, but that's because I prefer more full faced avatars. Also the fingers are cut off, which are the only reason to have the full bodies version.http://i.imgur.com/5ccjpCB.png

Here. Somebody else can make it avatar size.

Since the PotD is going to be late, I guess that they're also putting up music. I wonder what Sakurai's going to choose...
Is the top one taken?![]()

Yep, that's what I'm talking about. Good stuff. One of the players' Ftilt (looks like a punch, yeah) stuffed the other player's Up B clean like twice in a row (prolly could have gotten three if he wanted) before it auto-attached to the ledge. I wonder if the player knew about it, or if he discovered and exploited it on the fly? Super impressive, either way.
This is what I'm talking about
SUCKAAAS
So the game is counting C-Sticking in the air and control stick + A differently? That sounds strange.

Not too bad.
I still don't get how even without the Sal leak Shulk was such an outlandish possiblity. Monolith Soft is a major 1st party for Nintendo which (for admittedly obvious reasons) had zero presence in Smash so far, often helped out with grunt work on major games like Skyward Sword, Xenoblade was a critical darling, a surprise success in the west after a big fan-campaign and Sakurai had made it clear long ago he was a big fan of both the game and the developers. The internet is a horrible place
Does Sakurai realize what he potentially just did?
What did he potentially do?Does Sakurai realize what he potentially just did?
Let the complaints commence!

Shulk wasn't guaranteed, but I felt pretty comfortable about his chances.
just like the one posted in the leak......
