PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

Waiting for my copy of Danganronpa 2 to ship, maybe I'll get it on Thursday if I'm lucky. Wish Amazon would ship copies of games so we could get our copies on launch day :/

Anyone still playing Akiba's Trip? I'm going for the plat trophy atm

Top of page:
Buy Danganronpa 2 and Phantom Breaker

I spent 80 bucks getting the Playstation Gold Headset when I should have saved that for Destiny. I... forgot that it was coming out on the 9th.

Now I'm going to have to wait till I get paid again before I can buy it with a clean conscience . *SIGH*

Thi is the one time I really want Grace Chen to update the store early.

So I'm toying with the idea of cancelling my Amazon pre-order of Destiny PS4 and grabbing it via the US PSN (I'm in EU), since I found out today via a Gaffer that I can still remote play.

I previously thought that you could only remote play on a Vita assigned to the account that purchased the game.

Can anyone think of any reason not to do this? Am I missing something weird about DLC or remote play or anything?

I should be able to pay off my White PS4 bundle tomorrow

maybe following these threads will help me find my way around my first Playstation ever

Whenever a hunting game comes out, just wait for an enhanced version later. Usually they will expand the system too much that you could call them version 1.5. The only exception I made is Soul Sacrifice, because I bought it together with my Vita and Dragon's Crown. The next exception I will make is Freedom Wars, because I'm not sure if the next version will be on the Vita or not.

Seriously?

Disgaea 5 will use the power of the PS4 to make it impossible on PS3...
I guess there won't be a Vita version :(

Band Saga Kickstarter with Vita stretch goal at 45k

If folks are interested in seeing a musical roguelike.

Happy to see that Vita is the first stretch goal! Obviously its developers love Vita, support them guys!

Going out to so some shopping, by the time I come back home I hope that Danganronpa is there waiting for me. I have 1 week to beat it, before Destiny drops next week. Should be more than doable no GAF? I beat the first one in 2 or 3 days if I remember correctly.

God I have too many games. Neptunia Re;Birth, still playing SAO, just bought Miku for a quick game during breaks, and got back into OlliOlli with the leaderboards. And now today Danganronpa 2, Don't Starve vita and Velocity 2X come out...

Speaking of Neptunia Re;Birth, I should really figure out how the combat works better. After I attack I usually just randomly pick between the three options until the last hit, when I can generally only use X. I don't know why or what the options do, but I haven't had trouble yet. Actually quite like the idea of the battle system, with the little area effect "box" so that optimal positioning helps a lot, but I need to understand it better.

And welcome to all new Vita owners, and all newer faces in this thread!

I've payed $5 for a snack at the movies before, so I figured I would put that much in as an early supporter. Hope vita tier is reached, seems perfect for it, love me some roguelikes on the vita. I definitely understand those that only have a vita waiting on the vita goal being met tho.

I think I need a 64GB memory card.

Everyone needs a 64 GB memory card. I am pretty sure my PS+ games alone are almost at 64 GB. God PS+ becomes a better and better deal the longer I have it, so many games I got with it that have really long legs. Combined with the fact that I usually get a year for like $30 during black friday, such a good deal.

From the indie development thread
My friend & Ghost Song composer, Roger, has been tinkering with a pet project for years, and he finally has a Kickstarter of his own. It's been fun watching this thing take various forms over time and eventually gel into what it is now.

It's a bit tough to quickly explain, but basically it's an action roguelike where levels are generated by music.

Kickstarter link.

Note -- though this is a friend of mine and he works on Ghost Song, I have no direct involvement with Band Saga and don't profit from it. Just trying to help out.

MY 64GB card is full :(
Time to delete some PS1 games. Until now everything I had (PS1, PSP, Vita) could fit on the card. I didn't notice that it was already almost full.

Was such a sad day when mine filled. There really is something so freeing about having every game you own digitally right there on your device to play whenever you want. Though definitely using content manager to back up games to PC/Mac was a better option for me than outright deleting them. 3-5 min to transfer a game vs 30-60 min to redownload it from scratch.

Looks cool. Gives me vibes of Scott Pilgrim, the band van from Earthbound, Sound Shapes beat school, Battle Network outside of battle, and the Prism Ranger parody from Disgaea.

Vita seems to be the main goal for stretch... I wish they were all like that.

Yeah it's not too bad. Some games I will probably not play anytime soon or at all after completion. And I backup all games on PC anyway because I don't have PS+ to upload save files.
It's just a bummer when the feeling of not ever caring about how much space is left is gone.

Incredible vibes.

Seems awesome; I hope it makes to the Vita.
Is Ghost Song Vita a possibility? I need more Metroidvanias.

The dev has a Vita and likes it. While it isn't on the cards at the moment maybe once the game is released on its current target platforms the possibility for a Vita release will arise.

Just dropped a few bucks in the PSN, ready for Minecraft, Danganronpa 2.

Also, which game is funnier, Hyperdimension Neptunia or Disgaea 4? I'm thinking about getting one of them.

Taking refuge from today's Vita pile-up hate thread. On a day where we get to play Don't Starve on Vita. Go figure.

Aside from this thread, I'm not sure the Vita isn't hated anywhere else. Seem like the only difference between them is only "how much'. Apparently it stills has no game.

There's a good bit of positivity in the "Upcoming Vita games" thread, but that is it. Reading the "why haven't you bought a vita yet" thread nearly gave me an aneurysm. I get that you can not like something, but boiling down an entire device to "I don't like indie games" or "I don't want to just play anime spinoff games" just comes off as uninformed. Whatever, not gonna bother stepping foot in there again.

Don't bother with it. Just look at Persona5 hype and it's a anime waifu game.....

When these game get ported, they buy them...

I can see Freedom Wars getting ported now, watch it sell millions...

Just got back from that thread. It gave me chills. I was surprised how many kept saying it has no games. I can understand if they don't like the games, but saying it has no games is a bit much.

I have to agree with you; if they didn't want a Vita for logical reasons (Sony not supporting it properly, high prices of the MC's, not really knowing what games are coming, ect), that would be okay (I made a whole list of real reasons why one may not want a Vita, and I love mine XD!).

But things boiling down to "I don't like Indie games!", "Those JP are perverted and weird", "It haz no gamez!".......is just laughable :l. Those aren't really complaints, just petty issues that some people have with games in general (people say all the time in the PS+ threads "Where are the REAL gamez! Oh, just ANOTHER indie game! Where is my AAAAAA experience Sony?!".....shows how ignorant some people are :().

So I was right not to click on that thread. People can be as ignorant and hate as much as they want. Vita remains by far my most played system and has tons of great games. That's all that matters.

The embargo for Velocity 2X is up, reviews are trickling into the OT, including one by yours truly + a video with gameplay/discussion.

Very much enjoyed your video and review, and I am super excited to play this today. Reviews seem overall very positive for this, which is not surprising given what I've seen of the new one so far. I just wish I was better at touch teleporting, it always throws me a bit off reaching my thumb to the screen and back to the buttons, but I heard a lot of people saying it was a very useful feature of the vita version.
