Yeah, this is what doesn't make much sense to me, given the number of known (read: leaked) but unannounced characters. Could they lock characters until Wii U release or something strange?

I would have liked to see the Light and Fusion suits handled a little better. And I wish we were getting the Phazon suit instead of Dark.
But it pretty gets all the colors I wanted for her. Samus lends herself to meaningful alternate textures, and I'm super glad they ran with it!

I want to do it, but 100 bucks is a lot for all 3 books :/ I don't want to get just one or two, because I feel like it'd be incomplete. I dunno. If he needed support I might do it, but it looks like he'll be fine.
Also, love the dark samus, probably my main samus color.

Or, like Brawl, they wanted characters to be a surprise when playing. Not all characters were revealed before Brawl, same with Melee. It's common practice.
The current trend of revealing everything about a game before launch is not a good thing.

I'm still hoping for certain alternate costumes, like Sunglasses and T-Shirt Mario from Super Mario Sunshine, Mr. L from Super Paper Mario, racing gear for Peach and Rosalina, Toon Link's Pajamas from Wind Waker, and Lucina's Yukata from the Awakening DLC. Maybe even Pit with his burnt wings.
Personally, I don't want the characters themselves to change and would rather they stay within their character. For example, I would rather have Olimar use colors inspired from the six playable characters in the series (Louie, President, Alph, Brittany, Charlie) than actually use someone like Alph as an alternate costume.

If link can get 'skyloft textures', then toon link can get 'pajama textures', though i doubt he'd lose his hat.
Luigi-faced Kirby actually looks less uncanny than Kirby's Pacman hat. And Samus really should have Baby Luigi.

I'm also hoping for a Pink Hair alt for either Link or Toon Link, to represent Link's Link to the Past in-game sprite.

I didn't even notice the Pikmin were also Luigi.
I too am hoping for some more obscure, costume alts. I would love beach Mario and of course Yukata Lucina. The Ninka/Vaanrose leak did say Mario has some costumes (along with Charizard) so Hawaiian Mario might get in.
Hope so. Their hair changes in at least 1 palette swap already, but who knows if sakurai will do that, since all the official art from SNES doesn't have the pink hair.
Seeing as we got a NES colour scheme for Toon Link in Brawl, there might be a chance for an ALttP palette. If the Outset Island, NES and ALttP palettes all appear, I'll be completely satisfied with Toon Link's outfits. Even if it means no conductor uniform.
Also, I finally added myself to the spreadsheet.

The German version should be coming out in all of the German-speaking region, including Switzerland.
I fully expect stores in bordering countries (or at least regions) to put the game on shelves on October 2nd as well. They wouldn't want to lose sales to German stores.
But yeah, it's cool that Nintendo gives us the game early because October 3rd is national holiday. I was going to bet on the game having October 4th as the official German release date before that was announced. Glad I didn't.
We can still back this for the next ~30 days, after it gets funded, right?
I want to preorder the books, but can't decide exactly how yet.

Up until Gen 5 (I think), Pokémon names were written in all caps. Always.
Caps lock is kinda like holding the shift key. In this case, it's Pokemon doing it.
(Older Pokemon games had everything in capital letters, or at least some things were always all caps.)

Original Toon Link, the three alternate colors and Shadow Link from Four Swords Adventures, Link's NES colors, Link's SNES colors, and Outset Island Pajamas would make eight. I'd be happy with all of them.
Wait, was that the same leaker, because there were a lot of fake leakers when the big one happened.
As far as I know, it was done that way everywhere the Latin alphabet is used. I'm not sure though.
