Well it shouldnt have considering that its released tomorrow not today. Tomorrow as in the 4th of September.
IS the range still an issue on XB1? I thought the camera tech in Kinect 2 sorted that out?

It's currently ranked #8 on Amazon for the Kinect bundle and #20 for the Titanfall bundle. That's the best rank the console has ever been, except when it became available for preorder (then it was number one during two days if I remember well).
The only games having a chance to figure in the top 10 next week seems to be Dead Rising 3 and Forza Motorsport 5, and maybe Titanfall since the bundle are counted.
Hard to make a bet, but I'm not sure it will do better than 100K for the launch week. It would even be a miracle since Xbox 360 dit 60K for the first two days.

Absolutely no advertising at all, aside from some flyers in game stores and some demo units in Yodobashi Camera.

Crazy. I think this launch is a $ loss for MS. They're just launching in Japan so they can say they're in Japan. Probably the same story in some of those smaller Euro countries as well.

I don't see why that would continue to be the case though. Didn't they flock to 360 because Sony was a dick to Cave and refused their games or something? Wont' happen this gen plus PS4 is selling so much stronger, shmups seem like they'll be right at home on PS4. Especially with Resogun and Velocity 2X on it.
Japan loves handhelds. It would be pretty surprising if it weren't #2 really, considering the lack of JP PS4 games.

That purchase isn't out of excitement, it's out of duty and honour, because if he didn't have one , he brings shame to his family.
considering the Vita sells around 16-20k weekly in Japan, I think the XB1 will outsell it in its first week, but fall behind on the second one. By the 4th week, it should be at PS4 level (5-6k) and then sink even further.

It's also supposed to be launching in Portugal this month, I think. There's about as much excitement over here about it.
MS will probably push the ID@Xbox thing for more Japanese developers. I know they have a few already but it will be interesting to see if anyone else jump onboard.
You mean photoshopped or a picture of the japanse shops today, would look the same anyway.
