I've only just realised you can up the stakes on chips to make the prize fund larger :$

Just won the big jackpot of 2000 bux on Candy Slots on a 4 bet. Nice!!!

Up to Lvl 17 now (highest on GAF that I'm aware), got 2 levels on max lvl 10 and couple more close by. Fair few dream jobs making 2x the stock. Almost runs itself now.
I'm on Floor 21. All 4 apartments at level 10. All other floors at level 5.

Man, when are we going to get a great Diablo like dungeon crawler on IOS? It's a perfect fit for the iPad and we only got a few mediocre, decent at best, games on the genre. Just port Torchlight to iPad dammit!

Well, unless you like your screen cluttered with on screen buttons then the game would probably have to be turn-based. Besides, torchlight and diablo both have over 90 hours of content, how do you expect those poor devs to earn any money if they can't monetize all of those 90 hours? Think of the devs!

It's even weirder that there's not a proper Advance Wars alternative. Touch devices would be perfect for the series! Yet I've only played pretty bad attempts.

Have you seen Warbits?

Am I missing something with TTV? I thought people from the lobby were supposed to populate the suites?

Also I'm finding that coins, not bux, seem to be the bottleneck here. I'm struggling to build the 8th floor. Something tells me I'm doing it wrong.

Lets keep Tiny Tower Vegas going.

We should try to sort of establish this rule by which everyday, every member of the club must visit and play in a casino floor of all the other club members.
If everyone did that, it means we all got free casino plays, since you get a chip every day that one of your friends plays in a casino floor of your tower. :)

The controls would be fine, tap to move, context based / gesture attacks or just a hotbar with tap targeting. Infinity Blade Dungeons had this down but the canned it for some reason. Fates Forever does it well.

A straight port might be terrible but with a bit of TLC you could get a decent version of Torchlight 2 imho.

Fans of gamebook, got a cool recommendation for you:

Heavy Metal Thunder
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/heavy-metal-thunder-gamebook/id903110999
While cut off from your unit, you discover your allies are being tracked down by the alien invaders that have overrun our solar system. Only you can save them.

On your journey you’ll meet the worst that the galaxy has to offer, and it will be up to you to choose how to deal with them. Do you help out those who have given up the fight? Or do you take shortcuts and gun down anyone in your way? As you learn how to fight the invaders you’ll gain new skills, but limited resources will make it impossible to save everyone.

Damn....looks good.
It's excellent. Just finished the first chapter and didn't encounter even half of the possible scenarios. Very atmospheric, very bleak, well written, awesome art, RPG elements (leveling up, perks). I had been looking for a sci fi gamebook after playing Sorcery and this is a very satisfying experience so far

And the decisions you make have some pretty major impact. Like I had dropped some seemingly useless items from my inventory to make space for first aid kits and now I'm regretting that since my character is now slowly going insane.

Why, why WHY did you take the time to write all this?
I do not need another game!!!!

So...I do not like a lot game books on digital, except Sorcery, but I do love sci fi (so the story is fundamental)...I do not mind reading but I like choices and RPG elements.
I do not re-play these games ever (Sorcery excluded).

I'm undecided if putting this on to buy list or buy it anyway (but I think Valiant Heart will be bought first)...

There should be a free version to check but it's not up yet (and the dev has another game, both free and paid version...which looks interesting as well).

Speaking about Valiant Hearts...I'm reading it could be 'episodic' (something I hate).

Anyone from NZ or AU already has the game?
Are all episodes available right now?

Thanks!

If episodic like Telltale games...I might wait...sadly.

I only game on my Air, so the thread title seems silly to me :p

Right now I'm playing Simpsons Tapped Out, DragonVale, Family Guy Quest for Stuff and I plan to check out the new Star Wars game over the weekend.

It is episodic. $4.99 for the first chapter and another $4.99 for each additional chapter or $10.99 for all (2-5).

Wondering about this Battle Riders. Yeah, other games coming out tonight probably are better but I've always had a soft spot for combat racing.

yay another F2P addict

screw paid games

Clash of Hans is pretty good if you like Clash of Clans, wishing I would have went DS though. I started out DS, then switched early on because my friends had a squad that was all LS, but I'm missing the stormtroopers, AT-STs, AT-ATs, etc. Attacking with those are so much more fun than attacking with a bunch of Rebel troopers and Chewie.

What is wrong with the bitizens? Every one of them seem to hate their dream job and complain on bitbook.

Also any tips on winning big outside of spending real money to buy lots of chips? I understand how to play the games but I'm not sure if there is any logic to when you should bet big and when you shouldn't.

Oh incase you are wondering, the game is cross platform accessible. I play on Android and IOS with the same cloud interface. I will interact here just because the dedicated android thread just doesn't have the traffic.

player list from the last thread:

Can I get added:

10TJS

Been playing Motorsport Manager for the past few days and it's addicting. I really enjoy manager/sim games so this is up my alley. It gets difficult pretty quickly. It's 2020 in my run and I'm still not able to get 1st in the 2nd tier leagues, meanwhile the bottom tier is a cakewalk..

I see thanks!!!
The real question is...are ALL episodes available right now or I have to wait? (monthly, weekly...)

Thanks!!!

From what I've read, just the first chapter is available. But unlike other games, like Republique,I would imagine that the other chapters will get pumped out pretty quickly since this is a port.

Pitta --- guess I was wrong. All episodes for Valiant Hearts are available on launch. So basically, it's $4.99 to try the first chapter or a total of $15.98 if you decide to get the whole game.

I think it's $14.99 on consoles so not too different. And unlike Bioshock, I'm pretty sure this game probably would have been able to keep the same level of graphical quality and not lose anything in translation.

Can't wait for Mikey Boots. Comes out tonight for 1.99. The Mikey games are probably my fav series when it comes to iOS gaming

I hate you.

:*

Which kind of sci fi is? (Alien, Star Wars, Star Trek, Asimov...)
Like what kind of sci fi genre? I'd say akin to Dead Space. Not the whole space zombie thing, but it's bleak and grim. humanity is decimated, the chapters deal with stuff like a bloody massacre/revolution on a ship in the midst of being destroyed, struggling with insanity.

Wait, what? It's more expensive than the console versions? That's... new.

Well, even Bioshock can pretty regularly be had on console or PC for less than $15, sometimes as low as $5.

That's why it's all fine and dandy...and maybe good for mobile gaming for the Bioshock port. But I'd never pay more for an inferior experience and would rather have good memories of the original game and atmosphere.

Valiant Hearts is a bit different in that I don't think you'll have an inferior experience.

EDIT: now hearing that the "special" for the full game may be $6.99 (so $11.98 for the whole thing). Guess time will tell.

Thanks for the recommendation on Heavy Metal Thunder. Really think tablets are the perfect device for gamebooks.

Hey TTV peeps - the Players Club challenge just ended and we placed somewhere high enough to get a bronze roof. So woo!

The new challenge is Dragon Poker, which I have on my fifth floor, so feel free to hit up my tower if you don't have it. I'm not already in the list but my friend code is GCHT.
