Yeah, I should have actually looked at the scans before blabbing off my mouth.

The disparity in quality between Xenoblade's mech and outfit designs never ceases to amaze me. It's like they finished designing the enemies, then threw together the characters while drunk and leering at the homeless.

Metalface is a god-tier design in cutscenes, but he looks pretty awkward tip-toeing around and gently slapping in gameplay.

Honestly I'd be all for the next Metroid game returning to the classic 2D Platforming style, but go for a sillier, cartoony look just to give the series a bit more life (except Samus would be the straight-laced stoic MC).

We have plenty of silly 2D Metroid-style platformers. I'm okay with some silliness, but not if it cheapens the world presentation.

A fanbase despised clone of a cut character.

The worst of both worlds! I love it.

They could make the salt and tears more delicious by having baby chick Ridley be a Squirtle clone, adolescent Ridley the Ivysaur clone and adult Ridley a Charizard clone. As Ridley takes more damage he evolves into a different lifecycle until he gets KO'd starting back off at his chick form. Make him New 3DS and Wii U DLC exclusive.
