Most japanese i've seen who are interested in core games are holding off because they want more sum gate(domestic japanese titles), but its kind of a chicken and egg scenario because Japanese developers are pretty much hardly on consoles anymore which leads to apathy for consumers. I think that there is a decent amount of people who would buy a PS4 if devs gave it a chance, even though the market has definitely shrunk.

Independent Dutch game stores haven't heard anything from MS. There are no tv, radio or magazine ads, there's no effort to put display stands in shops so people can see and play Xbox One games. You can't even pre-order them because they don't know if they'll get any from MS. Instead, they'll go on importing them from Germany. They all complain about the lack of any hype for the Dutch launch (which is to be expected since the console was unofficially for sale for months now)

Well, this is Microsoft you know. Did you forget how fast they reported the initial Xbox One Launch Numbers? Microsoft had a press release out that they sold out of all launch systems before the first 24 hours was even up.
How they could get that information, with launch consoles still available in some stores, is amazing.
