Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XV: Kübler-Ross Edition

Thanks for the info, Masked Man!
The additions to his counter move make sense, considering he had different animations for the same move in his intro video. Maybe it changes depending on how many successful times you've used it.

My guess is that the window just shrinks a little every time you use it. The first few times are probably pretty generous timing-wise, but after a few usages, if you're even a little too early or too late, you're liable to get punished.

Still a bit concerned about the art change changing mechanic. Pressing a button over and over might be confusing and lead to errors in the heat of a battle.

Yeah, especially when you're trying to cycle through quickly or jump to a certain art on the fly. I'm also not sure how intuitive kanji are for players who are completely unfamiliar with ideograms. Players who understand Chinese/Japanese will be fine, but it might take a little time to adjust for people who don't speak the language.

That's odd.
Kanji is a Persona character

Oh, I didn't know that!
I've never played a Persona game--don't hurt me!

LETHAL LEAGUE.

STOP FUCKING AROUND AND BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE A EVEN REMOTELY DECENT GAMING PC.

Jesus it's so fucking rad....and I have to imagine most Smash fans would love it. The presentation is almost identical, and the gameplay is intriguing in the same type of ways Smash is.

It's godlike I tell you. Godlike.

As someone who's only just found out about this game I second this recommendation.

Lethal League and Project M have been mainly my Smash replacements for the last weeks leading up to Smash 4.

OMG at Shulk's swimsuit costume...

I did not know I could be in love with a videogame character T__T

Hmmm will we have alt costume amiibos? :D~

As far as I could tell the color is telling the buff aswell, isn't it?

I'm sorry, Alt costume Amiibos aren't confirmed, at the moment. I don't expect them, though production costs might get too high, if they do all the alt costumes. No Shulk Amiibo fantasies for you.

I'll still buy the regular Shulk amiibo!

And hopefully all the other characters.

Pic of the day. Here's one of the final battles in Smash Run, called "Run!" As you'd expect, it involves you dashing toward the finish line. In general, the fighters who are fast by default, equipped with speed-boosting equipment, and powered-up with speed boosts over the course of that Smash Run will have the advantage. However, speed isn't the only factor that will determine who will be victorious...

Those red things in the picture are called danger zones, and if you touch one, you'll get penalized by respawning farther back in the stage!! The danger zones disappear after someone else touches them, so fighters following those in the lead will have an advantage. You can still find speed boosts throughout the stage, so it'll be a heated battle 'till the end!!

Here's another final battle called "Climb!" Obviously, those that can jump or fly higher will have the advantage, but they also have to avoid the danger zones!! It gets pretty challenging if you've boosted your speed too much, as well. Everyone really gets into this when playing multiplayer.

On phone, sorry for delay.

Will he really do that in battle? I thought that was just a gimmick for the trailer. :3
I feel like that could get old really quickly, but maybe that's just me, lol.
I think it's just for the trailer. Palutena does it in the newcomer trailer aswell for all attacks. Though it would sound funny if every character would scream out his attacks name every time xD

I don't know, I would think so, especially from his game where he yells out all of his attacks. XP

HADOUKEN! SHORYUKEN!

I'm used to such things. Bahaha.

My people needed me.

And by people I mean waifus

Is this becoming a fad? Lol.

I don't mean to start anything but I will say I actually wish PlayStation All Stars had tried to copy SSB a little closer. What they made was a game that tries to be Smash and Marvel vs Capcom at the same time and fails at being both.

Sooo close on pre-ordering 3DS version. Only thing that's sort of holding me back is the thought of the Wii U version releasing rather soon afterwards and ending up in a situation where I'd just play the console version anyway :/

You'd be surprised how many actually wanted that.

Eh, I liked that PSAS did it's own thing. It was far from perfect, and there was just something...missing....but it was a solid idea for a different take on a fighting game.

The thread OP is clearly not final and the rest will be DLC released alongside the Wii U version.

Ssshhhhh! Dammit, now we have to make a speech on that situation. Yeah, it's confirmed that our Smash OT is going to have DLC in couple of months! Get hype everyone!

Maybe all the references to Danger Zone is Sakurai's way of letting us know to be careful with leaks as we get closer to launch.

Either that or he loves Archer

I just wish that Sony would give it little more love. They need to give the company more budget, better schedule, and they need to be little more flexible. It was low budget, rushed games. :(
