But, I think something along the lines of her move set in Anarchy Reigns could work in Smash without being too explicit (it may bump the series back up to a T rating though).

I don't expect Bayonetta because she wasn't in the leak, but I've said from the start she could work in Smash and would be a fantastic character. And yeah, the Anarchy Reigns move-set is a great example of how she could work without being "inappropriate." The most risque thing she does in that game is one quick move where she spreads her legs to fire a super-laser from her crotch. As for her firearms, she could easily wield her non-bullet-based weapons, I.E. the laser guns, the rocket launchers, the ice-skates, the nunchuks, the whip, etc. And as for the "nude" moments, again, just reduce her suit to a one-piece swimsuit, in terms of coverage. Less revealing than ZSS in her workout gear.

This is one of those games that I'll want to always have on me, so digital would be best in that regard.

I preordered Destiny, Smash 3DS, and Smash Wii U on Amazon when I had Prime. My prime has since expired and run out. Destiny is still giving me free release day shipping since the order was placed when I had prime.

Smash 3DS and Wii U hasn't updated yet to tell me when it will ship (obviously). It says I have free 2 day with both still, since I placed the order when I had Prime.

Will they both get updated eventually to free release day shipping, since the order was placed while I had Prime and I currently have free 2 day selected?

Go to college. Languish in class until 4:30 PM. High tail it to GameStop. Pick up preordered Game. High tail it home. Open game. Put game into 3DS. Play game for 50 consecutive hours.

I think the star wars prequels had a similar effect in the US, IIRC. Tons of people skipped work/school to see them.

I could see that happening with a movie, especially one as big a Star Wars. I just didn't think video games had reached that level of popularity, even if Dragon Quest is huge in Japan.

Unsure. When I pre-order on Amazon, it gives me free release day delivery, but i'm in the UK, mind you.

I looked around and sites do list it as an urban myth. The Diet never passed a law on it, but the company did decide to move it to weekends mainly for that reason

At the time of Melee, the Ice Climbers appeared in one twenty-year-old subpar and obscure NES game. Define 'all-star'.

At the time of Melee, Roy was months away from his first appearance. His age was negative. That goes without mentioning that his franchise, while successful, was Japan-only. Melee and the subsequent popularity of Marth and Roy was arguably the reason Fire Emblem made it to the west.

How is any of those like Bayonetta? Ice Climbers was not that obscure, Pit was the same when he appeared, ROB was just a failed accesory... the thing is they were all Nintendo history. And I maintain what I said about Roy, they just chose a new character to rep a beloved franchise that was not Japan only the time Melee hit my region at least. And even if it were Japan only it's still Nintendo history.

Bayonetta would be the weirdest choice ever even if she was kid friendly, because it makes no sense right now.

Well it's out on a Friday and I don't work Fridays so I guess I'll sleep in, have breakfast, open my parcel which 95% of the time arrive early, open the game and then post on GAF for the rest of the day.

I really wonder how well the community is going to support this game at first... Wii U's are fairly uncommon and expensive, and most of us only have extra CRTs to carry around. I'm not gonna carry my only system or screen around... so even a cheap Wii U is 200, and an extra (decent) LCD will probably run me another 100... not sure if I should even try.

There's something empowering about owning a game, a physical copy, having it in your hands... and choosing not to play it. The more you WANT to play it... the greater the feeling. I totally get what you're saying, and people will think we're crazy, but there's something about holding that game you've wanted to play for days/weeks/months/years and then... NOT playing it.

It's like... saving the fruit at the bottom of the yogurt after eating all the plain vanilla yogurt without stirring. It's satisfying to make yourself wait for the good stuff, when at ANY SECOND, you could have stirred... but you didn't, because you knew it would be sweeter to wait.

I was just thinking today about how uninterested I am in Smash Run. It could be cool, but just doesn't seem like my kind of thing at all. It's a little like Subspace Emissary: sakurai is giving it a lot of attention in PoTD's when ultimately I think it's going to be a pretty forgotten mode.
