So yah, tell me all about it.

When I was like 12, I went biking with a friend of mine. Passed some cars when suddenly this one guy quickly opened his car door on my right side. Didn't know why but I managed to avoid crashing into his door. My buddy then told me to follow him fast until after the corner. Didn't know why he was shouting, but I just did as he asked.

Afterwards, he told me this guy tried to grab me of my bike but I managed to break free. I didn't see him do this, because I was focused on the road and the door that suddenly opened. I realized I never really looked at the guy, but I did feel a hand softly touching me. In the moment, I didn't think any of it because I was focused on not crashing into his door... but then I realized this guy was probably trying to kidnap me.

Can't be 100% sure of course, maybe my friend was wrong and this guy just didn't see me or whatever. The car was gone when we peeked from the corner though. To this day, I still wonder what might have happened.

What 'bout you, GAF?

Had stones being thrown onto my living room window at 2am (I'm on a first floor flat in the UK). Didn't really want to check out the same window as the room was lit, so I went into a room next to it which was dark and saw a guy looking at the flat above. I guess he was trying to get the stones there as a woman came downstairs to talk to him. It's not really that creepy, but it sure felt creepy once I heard the stones.

I was walking into my office building at night. A man began calling to me from the street, a good two hundred feet away. It was dark and I was in a hurry, and the man sounded angry, so I just went inside.

I walked a short way into the building but felt compelled to look outside. So I crept to a darkened office facing that side of the building and looked around but didn't see anything. I decided to press against the glass to see the side entrance, and I noticed the man hiding behind the door - testing the handle. After a few moments he walked off. I could see he was holding something in his hand that looked like a long knife partially wrapped in some kind of fabric but I couldn't be sure.

I had just moved into a new place. Renting a room in the basement from a family. There was a rocking chair in the corner, and at night, every few days I would wake up in the middle of the night and it would be rocking.

One night as I was falling asleep in high school I swear I felt someone sit on the bed just to my right. Just a few inches from my foot. I felt that side of the bed depress and everything. It snapped me up but no one was there. I know I wasn't sleeping at that point. And it wasn't one of those times when you wake from a falling dream.

A bright light outside my bedroom window (second floor, back of the house facing my garden and field). I was wide awake, trying to sleep and the light flashed and lingered for about five seconds and then went out. Lit up all of my curtains so the source was big.

Looked out after a few minutes after I summoned the nerve and the sky and ground was clear.

Creepiest thing that's happened to me.

do not wants

Creepiest thing for me: Woke up and saw someone moving in the room. Turned out it was shadows from the trees outside but it looked like a person's shadow. Freaked me right out, though.

On the other creepy spectrum: Had someone tailing me home at night once. I had to drive past my home and do weirdo slightly-dangerous driving to lose that car.... :x

Sleep Paralysis, across the board. It's terrifying.

Your story is quite unsettling though.

I don't get it nearly as much as I used to but I used to get it all the time as a kid and there were was a particular reoccurring one I had several times that still fucks with me to this day when I think about it.

I was around 6 or 7 years old when my great grandmother passed away. She had Alzheimer's and she was in this little girl state and she always had this little blonde baby doll that would say "momma!" Whenever you press her stomach. The thing is that when we were doing the "velorio" (forgot how to say it in English) the doll that was hanging from the handle of the window would say "momma!" All by herself 1 or 2 times every minute, and this lasted for almost a week. Everyone from our family even the neighbors experienced this.

I had a stalker at gamescom this year. Creepy ginger german guy followed me everywhere tapping my shoulder and laughing to himself constantly.

Not my experience, but one of my friends family. Has a 2nd floor apartment over their house that they rent to people. There was this tenant who was renting the apartment and one day he just leaves, leaving everything he owns behind. They never heard from him again, not until a month later that his parents came by to pick up his stuff, they never explained what happened. To this day my friend doesn't know what exactly happened, it probably has a mundane explanation, tho.

Well, here is my story:
I was around 11-12 with a friend at my grandpa's garage and we were drawing. My friend drew a big red eye and when I asked him what eye is that he replies: 'it's the eye of the satan'. When he finished his sentenced the drawing of a saint my grandpa hung in the wall, fell down together with the nail that was keeping it in place. We looked at each and started running like crazy.

Oooh, a three thread combo.

Anyway, one time I was staying up late, watching tv when I was a kid and the phone rang. It was like 3 am so I didn't answer and it went to the machine. It was quiet for a few minutes, then a voice said. "I'm watching you...And you're a dead man!" and hung up. I was by a bunch of Windows and thought it was serious and freaked out, woke my parents. They said it was probably and prank call and I realized they were right and went to bed.

I went for a walk at night and could have sworn someone was following me in a car. I turned and walked between some houses and walked onto a bike trail that leads towards home.

As I got far enough along I see light hitting the area around me and I look behind and I see the guy in the distance standing by his car pointing a flashlight at me.

Around 12 or 13 years old, was vacationing with my mom & our family when I found myself playing a light-hearted game of Marco Polo in the deep end of the pool. One of the kids thought it'd be funny to hold my head under water.

Scariest moment of my life.

oh yeah when I was in high school me and a couple friends would go to these trails at this park at night to smoke weed and we ran into this dude with a camera and some lighting equipment and 2 women

that was weird

Did you just keep walking home at that point or did you start hiding or?

wake.

And jeez, that's creepy ._.

I remember I got so high once that I thought that everyone around me were just figments of my imagination. It was p unsettling and scary.

I guess it was around when I was 8 or 7, I just remember 'waking up' in the woods late at night, in nothing but my undies about half a mile from my house. Only explanation is that I had sleepwalked out there, which I had never done before or after. I remember screaming the entire way back to my house as like many younguns, I was terrified of the dark. It took me a while to get back too cause I didn't know where the hell I was, luckily my parents heard me and came into the woods with a flashlight.

Still kinda freaks me out just thinking about the faint vague memory I have of it.

This sounds exactly like the beginning of the famous internet story, "Penpal".

When I was 17, I got a call on my cell phone in the middle of the night. The ringer woke me and I took the call without really thinking to look at the caller ID. When I said 'hello', I heard someone on the other end with a very thick Chinese accent telling me this;

"We have delivered the pornography."

They hung up immediately after. After that I looked through my phone for the number, but it was restricted. I stayed up for another hour after that, I was so creeped out. I never got another call like that again, and I didn't get any strange deliveries or persons showing up to my place. It was fucking creepy as shit.

Whoa, that's horrible. Absolutely the creepiest thing yet. And the word in English is "wake" or just "viewing".

Couple years ago I was walking the dog a little after 10 at night. I live on a dead end street that's kind of hidden if you're not looking for it. No sidewalks or street lights and usually quiet even in the day time. Anyway, it's a typical dead quiet night on the road and as I'm coming inside I remember I have to get something out of the car, so less than 30 seconds later I'm back outside and as I approach the car, this guy leaps out of the bushes and starts running away like a bat out of Hell, cutting through yards and everything. No idea what he was up to, but he must have thought I spotted him or something.

Episode 1 opening night, was in line with my then girlfriend now my wife, some dude approach to us, give me a little knock on the head like you would do with when you say "knock on wood" and I said "WTF man!" and he says " I will leave you with the doubt but we know eachother"

To this day I don't know who the fuck was that dude.

That would scare the hell out of me as an adult

When I was was younger I had a neighbor kid a little older then me who I very rarely saw. My mother told me a story about how when he was younger he was driving home with his father, who was a cop, and apparently he found his dad's pistol in the back seat and was playing with it, pointed it at his dad, and shot him. He died. Well anyway, this kid lived next to me for like 7 or 8 years and I saw him maybe twice. The creepy thing is that in the morning we'd often see various toys, or shoes, or other things in their lawn that weren't there the previous night. So my sisters and me surmised that he must come out at night and play by himself. It was a sad and lonely thought. We also made up a story about how his house was filled with bats.

wake.

Ah, that's the word. I was going to go with "vigil of the dead" but that felt long.

Also that experience was creepy but it wasn't the first creepy shit I've experienced in my grandparents house. The first creepy experience was with this stuffed Christmas elf my grandmother had. My grandma is this type of old lady that puts plastic covers over her sofas and I remember I was watching TV one day and I heard the plastic, like someone sat on the sofa or something but when I look to the side there was no one there. Then out of nowhere this little hand pops up from the side, then the second one and then my grandmas elf pops it head up, looks at me and starts waving at me. Since that happened I would always cry when I saw the elf at my grandmas room, so they had to throw it away. I still think that was a prank done by my uncle but he denies it was him.

Saw a UFO outside my third floor bedroom window when I was 12. It happened twice, two night apart. Shit just floated away, out of eyesight then disappeared. Scared the shit out of me. I couldn't sleep with the curtains open for a long time. Depending on where I sleep, I still can't sleep with curtains open.

This is really fucked up. Even for people that sleep walk, leaving the house is a really rare occurrence. I can't imagine the terror of waking up in the middle of the woods and not knowing how I got there.

Back when I was around 16 or so some friends and I were driving to a party. We knew the road it was on but were not quite sure how to find it. If anyone is familiar with Northern VA it was one of those areas where you are driving around basically in the woods with massive houses dotted between them down long driveways.

Anyways, so we are driving and we see prob. about 50 people partying in the front and backyard of this one house as we pass. Realizing that that was the place we drove for maybe 10 more seconds until I could make a U-turn, and then we parked at the house and went to the party....
...and here's the crazy thing. It dawned on us after we were at the party for a while, that no one was outside. We literally took about ten seconds to make a U-turn, and yet the entire party (dozens and dozens of people) were all in the house, and had been. No one had been outside, it made no sense. We all saw it, and yet ...just a complete wtf....prob. the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me.

My family and I emigrated to the U.S around 1990. We settled in Brooklyn, New York. Anyway, one time when I was walking home from school (40 minute walk) and I decided to take the quieter inner streets instead of the much busier outlying street that led to E23rd. As I am walking down the street, I realize that it is eerily quiet. Usually you see one or two people and some cars but that day there was no-one. But then I see this one guy standing at a corner. My pathway led me directly past him but as I am walking by, he rears back and stabs at me with a knife.

I don't know what happens next exactly, he hit me in the chest but I think I jumped back far enough and the coating of my jacket provided some protection. The knife hit my chest and just clanged off. I felt it down to the bone though. I stare at the guy and kind of stammer, "Is that real." He glances down at the knife with a puzzled look, looks at me and says, "Yeah."

I try to move past him but he gets in my way. So, I fake to the left and take off like the wind to the right. Half a block down, I look back and he is running in the other direction. A car pulls up a moment later and the woman inside asks, "Are you okay. What was that guy doing." I'm a bit out of breath, adrenaline surging, confused and more then a bit scared, "I .. I don't know. He had a knife and...." I kind of shrug. The woman just looks at me and I tell her its okay and start walking off. She drives away and I head home with a story I will likely regale my grandchildren with if I live long enough.

Sleep Paralysis, across the board. It's terrifying.

Your story is quite unsettling though.

It really is. I'm not sure if I had it but as I was going to sleep or waking up it felt like I couldn't move my body and I was scared as hell at the time even though I seemed to be asleep and dreaming.

When I was 15 I had just gotten off work and was in my car, it was probably around 11pm. I was parked next to the small drive-through coffee shop I worked in and there wasn't anyone else in the area. Right after I had gotten in my car two older guys walked up and knocked on my passenger side window, when I rolled it down a bit the one nearest put his hand on the window and grabbed it and said that my dad had told them I would give them a ride home. I told them I wouldn't and immediately put it in reverse and hit the gas. The guy who had grabbed my window looked pissed, but they didn't run after me or anything.

Pretty tame story, but it was pretty creepy when I was 15. The second guy didn't say anything, but was staring in the rear window at the back seat. Looking back, I'd say I'm lucky they opened with an obvious lie. I had pretty bad self-esteem back then and was eager to please so with the right story I probably would've let them right in.

Not creepy, but at that same place I had quite a few people walk up to the drive through window and ask me if I sold any drugs. Is it that common to be able to buy drugs at a drive-through coffee shop? Had one guy get pissed when I said no and start insulting me, like it was my fault I didn't have any drugs to sell him.

Playing paintball in the woods, I was with my friend taking cover from our other 4 friends behind a tree, then I turned to him and asked him to move up on 3. When I moved up I noticed he didn't come with me, I looked back and he wasn't at our previous point of cover, then I got hit and we lost. So when I got back to the safe zone my friend said he had been chilling there for the whole game because he got a phone call.

WHO WAS I TAKING COVER WITH?! AND WHY WAS HE IN FULL PAINTBALL GEAR?! DID I IMAGINE THE WHOLE THING?!

My friend's grandmother tried to lick my face once. She's dead now.

Vengeance is a hell of a thing.

When I was little I walked into my parents. Apparently they thought they were home alone so when I went to look for them in their room and opened the door I was like ewwww. It was funny to me because my dad fell off the bed pretty hard and my mom started cracking up.

Saw a UFO outside my third floor bedroom window when I was 12. It happened twice, two night apart.

About ten years ago my family was having a meal out on our deck and saw a V formation of round black objects flying above us. They all insist it was UFOs, but I try to be rational and believe it was some sort of experiment or government test flight.

I have to admit it was unsettling though.

Oh I thought of a second one. I was staying in a hotel room while my apartment was being bug bombed/smoked. I woke up in the middle of the night, just basic sleeplessness. It was a fairly nice hotel frequented by business types. No drunken parties or anything like that.

I went down to the first floor to check out what was in the vending machines. Big fancy kind that holds fresh food with a nice little break area. Already sitting down there was a tall, slim man. He was dressed normally, t-shirt and jeans, but looked wired - like he hadn't slept in days. He struck up some pleasantries and asked me for a few dollars, saying he'd lost his luggage at the airport. I agreed and went about perusing the vending machine as he went on with some story about his home town, someplace out in the midwest. I noticed that he wasn't wearing shoes and it was the dead of winter - even chilly in the break area. After a few minutes he thanked me again, said something like "there aren't many kind people left in this world, and it was a good thing you were kind tonight". He said it very matter of factly and with a bit of edge in his voice - threatening a bit. He got up and left, walked right out into the cold with no shoes.

I was a bit freaked out and decided to go over to the front desk and ask about the guest. The young girl working had no idea who I was talking about. As we were talking the girl got a phone call and looked at me startled as she responded to the person on the line. A man was out front and said that someone had broken into his car and stolen his keycard.

Yup. Crazy guy with no shoes wasn't a guest, had stolen a keycard to get in. Several police showed up looking grim and very concerned, as if they had been looking for the man, and asked me a series of questions about what the man was wearing, if he had any belongings, etc. They were acting as if I was really lucky to be alive. Freaked me out for days.

BUT WHO WAS PAINTBALL

Not really creepy but I went to put my clothes in the washer 40 minutes ago and noticed my back screen door open. I'm all alone and never ever open that door...I'm on high alert now.

Theres a few in my life.

but last one i remember i was walking home drunk is about 5.00 AM pitch dark out, im walking down the the Train tracks near where i live,
thats just beside a Morgue and a Hospital (dont worry its not a Supernatural story, but the place does add a vibe)
I walked pass a bald man, he looked drunk and coked up and was walking very aggressively, don't even think he noticed me it was so dark.
So the track im walking is a no ped walk zone, because you can see behind the Hospital, i get to the gate and i hear some man "FUCK YOU, YOU BITCH Awww"
so i decided to do what was natural..... make a loud Hawk sound.
I waited a moment, cause im drunk and im not thinking right, then i go "Gaw" again, and i hear the scream not too far fucking behind me, which was the opposite direction i thought the screams where coming from, so i sprinted around the corner to a piller on the other side, i wasn't sure if it was my drunk head playing tricks
So i decided to do a loud Hawk sound again, now im looking into a very dark area so its hard to see, but i looked like a fucker running from that area i came from.
So i sprinted around to the corner just across from my house, since i felt safe near home, i decided to "Gaw" again, now this time im sure ive seen someone turn the corner was the man i think was following me i dont know.
I Ran to my front door, tried to open it, it was locked!, my mam usually leaves it open if she knows im out, my heart dropped, but eventually she opened it, and ran right up to my room that has a window facing the direction i was coming from and just peaked out.
Could see nothing so i went for one last "Gaw" No one there
Until i locked behind me.......... which there was also no one there lol

all jokes aside it was freaky as fuck, im getting mad jumpy right now to outside noises with my light on and window open at 3.14 in the morning lol
even tough i was convinced, i still dont actually know i seen someone, but if i did, i assume it was the pissed off looking dude who walked pass me
