Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XV: Kübler-Ross Edition

So it sounds like the characters who have worse killing moves have higher combo potential. 1v1 that doesn't sound like much of a problem, but 4 man free for all I see heavy hitters dominating.

...no, the Ridley joke kind of has been run into the ground so far that it went straight through the Earth's core and popped out the other side, creating two perfectly-polar volcanoes spewing ash and lava all over our thread.

Ledge mechanics have much less snap, you have to get close to the ledge to grab it. All been talked about before, just confirming the ledge stuff from last night. Back grabbing has returned.

He worries there may not be many competitively viable stages on the 3DS.

Wii Fit Trainer has 4 colors for each gender.

Sonic was his favorite character in the demo because of his speed.

Marth's tippers are still very good and have good knock back.

I think Falco is going to be "old fox/Falco" power. I can't wait for secret characters impression.

I want to know Charizard's final Smash. Would he have PokeTrainer appearing in the scene or not.
 
For someone who tried Megaman before (Japan demo, E3, SDCC), hope somebody can answer this:

- can he charge his buster by holding A? I know his forward Smash is a charged buster, but I never saw Megaman held his charge longer than by executing forward smash.
- and if he can charge by holding A, can he move or jump while charging?

I couldn't ask zipzo right now because I logged off in Twitch, but maybe somebody here have tried using Megaman enough to know a lot of his moves. I always forget asking this and kinda remembers this now. Thanks!

I believe it's the distance between the edge of the screen and the point where a character triggers the "off the screen" kill animation. If it's too big, games are longer and it takes more time/higher damage percentages for a character to be thrown off.

Is it just me or did the blast zones seem really small in the latest 3DS demo?

Those disorders can result in someone being socially awkward or inept at reading social cues, but more often than not it does not make them an asshole. And I'm not claiming M2K is doing this at all, but people do like to diagnose themselves with these disorders and hide behind their (invalid) diagnoses to excuse their behavior.

Be honest here; do you know much about the disorder? Now I'm not saying I do, but if you don't either then maybe you should be more conservative with your assumptions. We're not really in positions to be saying what can or can't be attributed to the disorder.

We also probably shouldn't be judging a person based on hearsay.

Little Mac's aerials truly are horrible.

Peach's turnip throw is much harder to spam (didn't hear why).

Keeps stressing how nice it is how different characters feel. He even feels equipment could be an interesting feature to have for tournaments.

You press X on Stage Select to switch to FD mode.

Does Lucina play any different from Marth? Is she faster or something? I swear I read something about a lot of her attack being at the tip of her sword.

All we know for certain about Lucina is that her damage is equal throughout her blade, as opposed to Marth where the damage is concentrated at the tip.

If there's any other differences we don't know for certain, but there probably are since she's her own character.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's a POTD this week.

Assuming there are no unlockable costumes, and we know all the Starters', excluding the Koopalings the only hidden character I can see having a TRUE Alt is Ness, a Lucas one (but that seems insulting), or I guess Ninten.

Can't think of any possible alts for GW, R.O.B., Duck Hunt, Falco, Jiggs, Duck Hunt, Dr. Mario, or Dark Pit...

Before you say Demise for Ganondorf, I doubt it since the former is way bigger.

her main differences so far is that her attacks are more balanced through out the sword and that she doesnt have to worry about her tip other than that at least according to sakurai is that she is almost identical to marth

It would be weird seeing Ninten use a yo-yo. The leak only mentioned Alph and the Koopalings, so those are the only true name-changing alts I'm expecting.
