That's one way of making Ridley work as a character, but then we've never hear the end of "Well Baby Ridley has no hands!"
Yeah, I'm a leaker, that's 100% true. Ridley can eat Impa to get a stat boost. It's the Back Special.

Do the Mii Fighters not have a default moveset like Palutena?
I have played Metroid. But only Metroid, none of the other games so you're kind of right. He just seems kind of generic to me. But that's just me.

Just throwing this out there - if Ridley is in the core game as a playable character, there is now way Sakurai would not reveal that before the game's release, especially with this much teasing.

EDIT: Having not been on the internet around Dojo days, how was the Isaac fanbase and the S&P rep. fanbase?
I would imagine S&P rep. fanbase was even smaller than now, as Star Successor came out after Brawl and OG S&P came out in US first on VC
This is why I think it's unlikely. Same thing could be said for Mewtwo.

I tried inserting all kinds of characters into the CSS, and it's just weird. I don't think any characters will move positions, but merely shift (like 64, Melee, Brawl). I still think the clone corner will end up in the bottom left, but why is Shulk randomly in between them? And if this is the "complete" roster, why not put Shulk between Wii Fit trainer and Dr. Mario, making the roster "complete" and giving third parties their own row? It would also make the icons line up nicely if the bottom row only had 4 icons.

If the lock means that not every character is unlocked, we have at the minimum 1 character remaining. 5 more would "complete" the CSS to form a rectangle.

I've played no Metroid games yet, but I think I've replayed the first hour or so of Prime six times, and never got into it. I do want to try out at least one game from each series represented in Smash Bros. and Metroid is one of the few major gaps in the lineup. I'm thinking of getting Super when it goes on sale on the eShop, though. Or maybe Fusion or Zero Mission.
I don't have an SNES or GameCube. Or a Wii at the moment, my family wouldn't let me take it up to college XP

That's a good point... but I like to think the Ridley fans are not that many and it's just an internet forums thing, so they don't really care that much about the advertising.

Assuming for a second that there are still more characters, without completely messing up/ completely reorganizing the CSS, another Star Fox and Pokemon character can be added at the very least since Duck Hunt and R.O.B. can just be moved down the bottom row.

Metroid can be hard to get into because some people might find the level design a bit confusing. Prime 1 is the only one I've completed, but I love it. I plan on giving the other games another go soon and replaying Prime 1. I don't blame you for finding it inaccessible, Prime 1 took me a bit to get, but once I did I enjoyed it a lot.

Shulk's placement is just weird. If you add characters, it moves Shulk in between clone characters and third-party characters. If you keep it as is, why wouldn't they just put Shulk up one row to "complete" it?
