Does Smash Run have co-op?

It has a multiplayer mode where all the players collect power ups and fight enemies and shit for like 5 mins and then are all warped to a stage to fight with all the power ups applied.

I'd be Mega Disappointed if it wasn't co-op-enabled. I mean, why not? Co-op would be extremely simple, and add a ton of depth and fun to it. You could even have a toggle switch to turn on power-up sharing.

Was it ever confirmed that it is online? The only thing like that I recall was the "it's way different than a regular online match" line in the direct, which is odd because the Japanese version of that line says the same thing, but without "online".

Maybe it would be too intensive to have all those enemies on screen with two players active. Who knows.

For online they can just cheat and hide everyone else on the map so in essence the game only has to process your local session while just keeping track of the stats of other players, which since those are just number wouldn't cause many problems.

Of course this doesn't take into account the second half.

There are useful hypotheticals and there are ones that are so absurdly unlikely that they aren't worth talking about. If you want to argue that Duck Hunt Dog and Bowser Jr are fake, the only even slightly sensible way is to suggest that the person did in fact have insider info, which is how they got the Shulk stuff, and then mixed fake renders and characters in with the others. But given how much work that would take (especially for the bowser jr video), Occam's razor still rules it as absurdly illogical

It is absurdly illogical, and I wasn't trying to say it was plausible at all. Just possible. I'm totally convinced that the ESRB leak is real, if Shulk renders, menus that matched later POTD, and matching gameplay footage wasn't enough. I'm just saying that anything is possible, which is why people shouldn't use hyperbolic terms like literally impossible.

Well, my apologies if I overreacted earlier; it did seem like you were being aggressive so I reacted in turn. Either way, yes, my original statement was little hyperbolic as you pointed out, but no more so (quite a bit less, actually) than all the people who are claiming Chrom means Gematsu was always bogus. Either way, it does seem like you're splitting hairs at this point just for the sake of doing so, as a couple of others have pointed out. We all understand that it's technically possible for a small number of people somewhere to have randomly corrected Wii Fit Trainer; we also all understand that the chance of Gematsu just throwing out a lucky guess for Wii Fit Trainer and just happening to have that plus almost all of their other "guesses" end up correct is unbelievably small.

Yeah, sorry about that. I know a lot of people use hyperbolic statements, it just surprised me seeing one come from you. In general, I can let things like that slide, but yesterday I had a particularly bad day in a particularly bad week, and kind of snapped quite a bit for really a small reason (that reason being a hyperbolic statement on the internet being technically incorrect). Costumes are in a weird position; Wario's classic look never got its own trophy in Brawl, so there's no real precedent for how trophies of playable character's alts should be earned.

Mikami, Takumi and Inaba were shared by Hideki Kamiya himself, so they are as official as can be, I guess. Kamiya's is a copy of his personal Mii, he didn't share QR code but did show a picture. Arino's I copied from the StreetPass Plaza games commercial he did.

What if you hold off waves of enemies and every couple of waves you fight a boss? Or the boss is the final battle.
Or maybe protect some flags from enemies (since the map is pretty large)
Or maybe escorting a group of 4 waddle dee's that are splitting up in 2-4 groups from time to time to force the players to split up in smaller teams

The possibilities are certainly there

Considering the massive amount of concept art and unused designs that'd otherwise never see the light of day, this would have been a great addition. But the equipment system used in 4 seems to be a much more convenient solution, and is immeasurably better than the way Stickers were actually implemented - allowing them to affect single player modes is also significant.

If you think about it, they were kind of the predecessor to customization. If you remember correctly, you could enhance your characters' stats in SSE via stickers. It's obvious that Sakurai has had fighter customization in his mind for a long time.
