Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Rosalina: Played ALL the main Mario Games and spinoffs EXCPT for the Tennis/Golf games and Mario Party series. Also never played Mario Land 2, and haven't played some of the recent Mario + Luigi RPG games.
Yoshi: Only played SMW2 Yoshi's Island. Haven't played any of the other Yoshi games. I got New Island ready to go in my backlog though.
Link and Zelda: All the console games. Have NOT played any of the handheld games.
Metroid: Every game except II (GB), Hunters, and Pinball
Pokemon: Only G1 games: Blue, Red, and Yellow) as well as Stadium. Pokemon Snap too, if that counts
Star Fox: Only 64
DKC: Played the original SNES trilogy and recently played Returns on Wii.
Mega Man: All Numbered Classic Titles, All Numbered X Titles except 7 and 8, Battle Network 1 + 2, all 4 Zero games, all 3 Legends Games (1,2, and Tron Bonne)
Pikmin: Nothing
Sonic: Only the classic Sega Genesis games (1,2,3, and S+K)
Punch Out: None (played a little in NES Remix)
Kid Icarus: Only Uprising
F-Zero: Only the original SNES game
Fire Emblem: None
Kirby: Original KDL1 and 2 on Gameboy and Kirby Superstar. I actually have the Kirby collection on Wii too, played through KDL3 and 64, but haven't finished them.
Earthbound/Mother: None
Wario: Only Shake It! and Game and Wario
Animal Crossing: I dabbled a little bit in the original Gamecube game, but that's it.
WiiFit: Actually worked out with the original and currently do WiiFitU regularly.
Game and Watch: None
ROB: I actually OWNED a ROB back in the day with Gyromite. The gyros were busted and didn't work though.
Ice Climers: Never played it
Duck Hunt: What kid growing up with an NES DIDN'T have the SMB/Duck Hunt cartridge?

Not sure. Nobuka Toda is in the game who's primary work she is mainly known for has all been MGS. So her being in the game musician credits was interesting but there's a lot of other as well who are oddly placed there. I want to think that's the case but more than likely they just really liked her work.
It's what keeps me going everyday.

She does a lot of freelance arrangement work - Halo 4, Final Fantasy XIV and Kingdom Hearts 3D, to name a few. Her presence is suspicious, but I wouldn't take it as any form of confirmation.

Do we know anybody who will be data mining the 3DS cartridge when it's out? Are we just waiting for some random Japanese 2ch dump of unverifiable authenticity?

Someone on the SmashGAF IRC mentioned being able to do this, so they could extract the OST tracks and upload them to youtube. Not sure if that was even a GAFer though.

It would be great if we had somebody lined up. That information will yield so many answers. But I don't know anybody personally and don't know where to look.

I have to get the GCN adapter. Mainly since if I have friends over I don't want to bother with controllers. We still have a ton of GC controllers around because of Brawl. Makes things easier for me.

Sept 12 in japan, at 7PM, which is sept 12 for US at 6AM, since your're in UK, that's 11 AM (according to google) on sept 12th.
Treehouse stream is definitely AFTER nico nico stream, and very likely after japan release at midnight (which is 11 AM sept 12 in US, and 4 PM in UK)

The Japanese eshop does midnight launch right? So 11 EST is when it can be downloaded?

Unfortunately all those I know have moved in from Smash so it's gonna mostly be single player and online for me. I also still have my old controllers from the days they did get used but now they all sit a drawer apart from my spice orange.

I'm getting the GCN adapter as well. I already have a set of gamecube controllers and wavebirds and no Wii U pro controllers. Way cheaper to go the GCN route.
I'm picking up the bundle to get a new GCN controller though, I want to have one that's in mint condition to start off fresh on the game.

From gaf, Serebii Joe and Makai, for sure. I'll be playing, but not streaming. I'll try to be on gaf to answer some questions that maybe the streamers aren't.
I won't be able to do much other than miiverse posts of pictures, and possibly saving to SD card and then uploading. If it lets you upload replays to youtube, i'll do that, too.
