A question of impatience - for the physical copy owners out there, how much content is there to download once you play from the disk? Put another way, how long between when I pop the disk in and I'm creating my character?

Don't touch it, don't install it. Contact them first and let them know. I'm sure there's something they can do if they see it's obviously on the wrong account and hasn't been touched since it was purchased.

What's up with the 4.8 user rating on Metacritic? I know it's early, but a lot seem to be bummed out on early impressions. I have not received my game, yet.

The larger player base is a moot point. You will get matchmade. The real issue is that the game requires you to play raids with friends. If you don't have friends on a system, it makes very little sense to buy it there.

While I agree that playing with friends matters most, ask Titan Fall PC players if player base is moot^^

They didn't even fix the broken stuff from the Beta. There's a small container that you first discover on mission 2 inside is a stairwell down to where Ghost scans a map of the area. In the container about 7 Fallen are waiting. Kill them then go outside and behind the container about 5 feet. You'll see your map go red and all the dudes have respawned. Rinse and repeat until you're bored.

They also still have the god awful vignetting during game play.

The respawn system is garbage but I figured they wouldn't fix that considering the MMO nature of the game.

I think there was about 16gb to download, took between 15 and 20 minutes.

Yeah, but PC is a whole different world. Game was pushed as console only.

If you have issues finding players in this game on the XBO, you will have the same issue on PS4 because it means the game had no legs.

I have never had a problem with Amazon when it comes to games, ever. They always show up on launch day. Why do you say they are awful? I am not saying that I won't have issues in the future, but I've used them for 7 years at least.

Glimmer is super easy to come by. Just go on a Patrol quest on Old Russia, then farm those respawning chests.

They drop far less now, it seems. 30-40 or so, so it takes far longer.

I was playing the 4th mission (where you are introduced to the eye enemies that cure others) on Hard at LV4, where enemies are LV6. Beforehand I teamed up with one dude, he was BITCHING so much, died bare times, and eventually rage quit calling me an idiot (I had no mic).

After he left I had to finish the whole final room by myself. I did it without dying, but there wasn't much reward in doing so. Ah well.

He screamed down the mic man.

EDIT: This is all while using stock weapons, in the beta this wasn't as possible.

Yeah, got bored with it. MMO in a shallow sense, same encounters, not enough build variety. I'll probably pick it up later but right now it's just too bare bones for me.

It doesn't help that the single player campaign is just a series of terrible same-same missions. This game's single player campaign and lame(opinion) PVP make a bad first impression. For me the Strikes are the only thing that made the Beta fun, and now we find out there's only 6 of them (5 if you're on Xbox). It's pretty disappointing, so I wouldnt chalk up all low scores to manufactured backlash.

You know what is a moot point? Arguing over something like this^^ But with MCC on the horizon, Xbox being a COD centric community, and PS4's much larger install base, the chances of you finding a lot of folks to play with come November is much higher on PS4. That is all I am saying^^

Finished for the night by doing the first Venus mission, it's much nicer planet then I thought it would be.

Should hit 20 tomoz easy, levelling isn't that hard at all as long as your picking up vanguard bounties and handing them in.
