Seeing a lot of buzz about how it shouldn't be played solo...
I won't be starting the game until tonight. Are the regional clans active enough that I might be able to find some people to play with? What's the disparity in content like between levels 1 and, say, 5? Can a level 1 play with a level 5, or is it pretty linear? Are the towns / global channels active enough to find people to group with?

Until most people reach the end-game and play what the offer, no you can't yet.
Seems like he played through it it's in french so I could make out any of the dialogue but it seems disappointing.

Worst marketing I've ever seen for such a ludicrously expensive game.
And hell Activision are usually great at marketing! I'm wondering if alot of the problem messaging wise has been from Bungie actually.
Part of the load times is matchmaking to a server.

I think this game will not be as well received as we expect. I loved the beta. However, I'm going to wait and see how people are truly feeling about the game.

Something tells me the expansions will be what actually "finishes" the story.

Reading those user reviews on Metacritic.
I kind of got that vibe from the beta and it's been the thing that's turned me off the the most, I'm interested in the crucible mode as my friends keep telling that PvP is the best thing in this game, but I'm just not sure about it. Seems like it's all hype.
I got suckered into Titanfall and soon ended up very bored with that after about 16 hours of playing. Maybe I should rent this.

Where are those at? I've been looking around the tower and I can't find them.
I had to finish a strike practically solo. One team mate quit and the other one NEVER went out of cover and was too afraid to shoot. I had 190 kills, he had 62.....

Yes, the ones I've seen are even in the same locations.
King's Watch isn't until later, I believe level 15-16? Could be wrong on the level

I'm still waiting for my digital copy to be enabled, but those impression are actually making me worry about one thing I noticed since the first reveals for the game.
That the shipped game would actually still be a BETA as in game content, since there was no different storyline or NPC interaction for race (which is something common in MMOs) and how it played like Phantasy Star Online, or even the lack of player owned custom shops where you can sell loot and crafted items.
Angry Joe early review made me feel the same, it's almost like they didn't know how to make it more MMO like, or perfectly knowing they could use that for later updates/dlc hopefully behind a paywall.
But still, I want to play and made my own idea out of it.

OH, and even my level 5 Titan Female armor looks SO dope, and not even from a "ooh, that's elaborate and detailed" standpoint (though it is).
I mean, even the color schemes are just perfect. She's got this like awesome deep blue/off white thing going on, it's really lovely:

I will play with my buddy later tonight, but for now this game is not very fun with randoms.
I must ask, what is the point having a shop if it will almost never have the type of weapon I want (Scout Rifle).

Somehow even though I've never touched that setting or knew it was there it was all the way to the "other" section. No wonder my volume levels were all messed up.
It is amazing that the lack of "real" reviews somehow forces people to read troll user reviews over at Metacritic...
How about trying to assess the game using your own critical thinking for once in your life?
This dependency on reviews is like a taught disability.

I'm glad they changed the look and coloring of the intro gear. Was worried about looking exactly the same as I did in alpha and beta.
Also, what about these shaders we got these codes for. When are those possible to be used? And are shaders one shot items or when you buy a shader can you use it on any equipment that allows shaders?
Servers have been alive for 95% of people playing for the past 8 hours. Any " reviews " right now are just knee-jerk overreaction pieces. I have my opinion on the game, but def. not going to review the whole package until I can actually experience the whole package.

Since there's only one Raid this is probably a game people can start judging before end game content. Considering how much I enjoyed the alpha and beta, the fact that the complaints are the same doesn't bother me.

Anyone else feel like Bungie should have just went all-out fantasy?
After playing this for some time, I feel like a completely open world action RPG really would have been something else, especially with Bungie's world design.
