DESTINY GAF ADD ME

what is R1 and R3?
That doesn't sound like what I am looking for...
I think I'd say I can't really tell if it's bad- it's hard to follow. Still very early on but the delivery of it honestly has more in common with Monster Hunter or PSO than with Halo. It's not the game's strong suit.
Really? What keeps getting you?
So is the story actually BAD or is it simply poorly told? It sounds like they simply don't do much with it.
Oh, and goddammit Bungie. Add some audio balance sliders like every other game developer in the history of the universe. I'm not buying a PS4 gold headset just to get a hardware audio-balance override.
That's a travesty in my eyes. I absolutely detest the way those games go about telling a story simply because you never actually feel as if there is a point to anything. You're just doing missions with no frame-work.I think I'd say I can't really tell if it's bad- it's hard to follow. Lol. Cause I saw it in this Filipino forum. Tried inputting it in my account and it worked. So I'm assuming dlc's here are region free.
Can someone explain to me what this means
I don't know about minority/majority really, but I did this too (got the "do 6 patrol missions" bounty and just went around looking for them all in a row) and had a blast. definitely a game that nails my personal idea of fun.I might be the minority here but I was having a blast last night playing the same area I've played three or four times already. Something about this game just clicks with me. I love it.
And this is the problem with all MMOsThat's a travesty in my eyes. I absolutely detest the way those games go about telling a story simply because you never actually feel as if there is a point to anything. You're just doing missions with no frame-work.
If someone from Bungie that posts here can help me with my missing PS4 Expansion Pass I would really appreciate it..It was not inside the Ghost Edition I ordered. I have gone through every inch of it multiple times and it's not there. I need some help please.
There is a Destiny code thread now.
There is damage scaling (i.e. level 20 deals a % of health damage to a level 3 mob as opposed to a level 3 player dealing weapon damage to a level 3 mob)One thing i don't get:
Why lv 3 enemies drop stuff at my level?
I'm 18. What's the point on going on mars when i can keep killing mobs on old russia and get the same stuff?
They're engrams. You won't know until you buy them.
Story presentation, mission design being repetitive, total number of singleplayer locations, limited "MMO" scope (lack of communication tools for random interaction)
So early in the game, I feel like I had to "predict" my impressions, but there are some things that are obvious...
I think it's going to be very easy for plenty of people to look past the flaws and not so easy for others. Whether or not the package is worth it to you in terms of individual value will come down to what you want out of the experience. If stuff that I consider ancillary like a strong narrative and "heavy MMO" elements are really important to you in this sort of game, then it's probably not going to win you over. The gameplay feels very polished and tuned, controls are great, moment-to-moment gameplay is hella fun, character progression is addicitive, natural multiplayer elements are unobtrusive and seamless. I'd describe what is presented here so far as "a very good start," to a gameplay base, to a new franchise, a new style of psuedo-persistent multiplayer. It is very obviously built to be expanded on in chunks over the long haul. It doesn't have the feature sets of an established sequel (though compared to something like Titanfall it does offer way more for the asking price).
Here's an example. You can take on a couple of bounties at the tower, wander out, run into a random or two and start an open mission, culminating in a fight where you might wind up saving or reviving each other before a close victory. This is very "surface" stuff, equivalent to MMORPG questing, you're not advancing the story or seriously testing your skills. But of course, you are shooting aliens in the face and boosting around on a hoverbike and double-jumping on downed airplanes. If the actual play experience of doing this kind of thing feels fun for you, you'll probably love this game, and get an enormous amount from the more advanced content. If it strikes you as boring or grindy then it probably won't win you over.
I expect it to be very highly reviewed because it's a strong foundation and the gameplay is so tight. But in terms of quality of content, I feel like you kind of need to experience the Vault of Glass, which means getting to the point where you're able to do the Vault of Glass, and literally no one can comment on that yet (it doesn't even unlock until the 16th). I imagine they put a lot of design work into this "raid" and it probably represents the effort they are likely to put into expanding the game as well. But absolutely no one can tell you how worthwhile it is yet.
So for now you have to sort of decide if the moment-to-moment core gameplay feels fun enough to you to make the game worth playing. For me that's an easy yes even solo, and it only improves playing with others.
I will say that if you don't plan to PvP (which so far seems very well tuned and up to Bungie's pedigree to me) at all, the value of the game overall is definitely reduced.
