good approach.
Vanguard Quartermaster, fairly nearby to the Shipwright.
Wondering this as well. Supposed to have early access... not sure what that means or where to go.

I think the issue is that it kind of pushes you to grind. What's the point of wasting a ton of ammo and time to kill higher level enemies in Patrol if you get the same XP in the end.
From what I feel, there isn't that sense of satisfaction in this game as the higher powered enemies just respawn right away anyway. In Halo Legendary, clearing out a room of elites gave you a sense of satisfaction as you went around, rearmed and looked at the destroyed room. Here if you run around a little the same guys are back where they were.

Having fun with the game, though I'm feeling a bit lost as I never took part in the alpha/beta.

This game is exactly what I expected coming out of the beta and giving the leaks on content and stuff... The nature of these games is repetition....
With that said I'm amazed there so many are disappointed people...

Looking to play this once I get off work, but I have a question:
I'll be playing with other people, but will I just be doing co-op during certain sections or can I group up for missions all the time? I'm wondering if playing by myself will put me ahead of the people I'm playing with or if it doesn't really matter.

I went in at level 13. The two randoms I played with were level 12 and 14. We all ended up getting double digit deaths at that arena at the end.
Doesn't open up until the 16th.

There is definitely some of that. I feel like the beta was very representative of the final product, so I don't know why some are disappointed either. To each his own though.
Same. Gonna do something else for awhile I guess.

I created my guardian and played the 1st mission this morning before work. I've been kind of avoiding this thread all day, but it's almost time to go home now and dig into it some. I'm still rocking all the default armor...

So, is anybody putting time into PvP?
I jumped in for a few matches and felt pretty much the same I did in the beta. Feels kind of... loose, almost sloppy in a way. Not very satisfying to me.
PvE is so awesome though, it barely matters.

So I have been doing the explore missions and they are saying +10 vanguard currency or whatever, but my vanguard currency never seems to go up. 
Also ultra bummed that once you add dgaf there is not a separate page for members who aren't friends yet. Everyone seems to have out leveled my pathetic level 6 butt.

Happens to me every single time I tried to do the strike on earth got to the final boss then BOOM the check your internet connection message pops up and then you have to do the entire strike all over again.
What platform are you on playing on ? I play on ps4.

Well, sparrow and pike are pretty much the same. Even the Interceptor is kinda the same just bigger. I miss vehicles with a lot of character behind them. The same goes for guns and maps. Variety is an issue with this game.

I think that's Vanguard faction rating, not Vanguard marks.

Excellent. I was just thinking about the same, and needed to hear it from someone else. Thank you kindly, you've just made my decision a lot easier. Now, are the extras worth the cash or should I just stick to the base version?

Never gave me the option. That's the problem.
That is extremely surprising. I played on ps4 and got the caterpillar error once, but that was right when I booted up for the first time. After that, I only had 2 issues: 1) psn party chat glitch if out and not allowing me to access the chat menu and 2) in a game as party leader, my teammates glitch out and everything but their psn id's disappeared mid game (easy fix though, they just had to exit and reenter the fire team)

Time for bed, not bad for the first day
Expansion pass is $35 but the Guardian edition comes with that and extra dlc that only ghost edition and that edition get and it only costs $90 so you save $5 and get more stuff, I'd say it's worth it...
