Really? I'd heard nightmare stories about how stiff the binding was on one of those.

But let's be honest, this is the best:

I can confirm that the omnibi are the finest way to read Sandman. No complaints about my copies what so ever.

Edit:But you know what I do have a complaint about? UPS taking forever to deliver Destiny. For fucks sake it's almost 7.

Top Shelf seems to be having a large sale. Any recommendations from the list?

Oh my goodness. There are some incredible deals there. Essex County!? YES. So excited to see that on such a good sale!
Also, Underwater Welder for $3? I just read it from the library and didn't totally love it, but for $3, I can't help myself. Also probably gonna grab some of the other random $3 books just because why not.

Wait what is the source for this? Is Fraction still going to wrap up the last few issues of his arc? :(

Sadly, no. Brian Wood has forced his way into Hawkeye like it was an up and coming female comics creator.

check Brian Wood's twitter, on mobile, can't link atm

Thanks for the quick responses.

Also... god dammit! This is the worst possible future. :(

Hawkeye was my favorite Marvel series at the moment... I will still finish up the last few current issues of the story arc but I already know I will probably be disappointed.

You won't keep reading it now? It's going to have Kitty and wolverine in it.

Ive gotten a free Rocket Racoon 2 Code, which I want to give to someone of you
First quote gets the PM ;)
Will send the PM tomorrow morning, since its really late here in germany ;)

There is an alternate universe where Brian Wood is the head of Marvel comics and has a harem which includes most of the female creatives at the publisher.

In this same alternate universe Dan Didio exists within reboot and the mainframe runs DC

Can anyone here share some thoughts about Moore's From Hell?
I'm debating whether or not I want to buy it for $25 in the Top Shelf sale.

"I think what this episode shows above all is that the human spirit cannot be overcome. You know, as a writer, if you took away my paper, I would write on my heart. If you take away my ink, I'd write on the wind. (Pauses) It wouldn't be an ideal way to work."

Ugh. What do I do.

With the $10 shipping, it comes out to $65.95
And I don't necessarily want to trim it down, because then the flat $10 shipping would just make it less worth it overall.
Edit: With the paperback version of From Hell (which I just found out is exactly the same as the paperback version, literally just with a hard cover), my total goes down to $58.45...

It's all so cheap, but none of it is stuff I want to buy immediately. It's all just stuff I know I'd enjoy but I'm not really excited about.
For $65.95, I could buy two Hellboy Library Editions and a random TPB.

Advice, please. This is why I hate super good sales. Making me feel like I ought to buy things I don't really want to buy.

I had some stuff carted, and while the deals are great, I saw that shipping is 10 freaking dollars using MEDIA MAIL and I said fuck it.

I prefer my books where they are cheapest. I have no loyalty.

I wish I could be that way, but for some reason when reading digitally, I just can't focus. It's really odd.

Yeah, I'm going to do the same. Most of these books in my cart are just the kinds of books I'd pick up on a whim at the library anyways. In fact, I'm pretty sure I saw From Hell at the library the other day now that I think about it... Essex County can wait until another day.
Good call. Thanks for the encouragement!

Messi and any other Ireland/UK based Comic-GAF people, are the savings on In Stock Trades worth it once you factor in the international shipping or should I stick with Amazon.co.uk?

I'm the same. I prefer physical reading all across the board, and I enjoy owning an extensive and awesome library of books that others can check out and that I can get signed/sketched in, and just have around to flip through and read whenever I want.

I actually remember what I read when I read through physical books, which is usually not the case when I read comics/longform shit online.

I've never used them but if you make a big order (13 books) of trades not hardcovers the shipping seems to max out at 40$.even though my books were up to 150$ with shipping. So that seems like a sweet deal. But hardcovers kill you on shipping.

Gonna try it soon. I want to see this packaging. See if it really is all that.

I hate to say it, but I think I'm becoming the opposite. I read all kinds of shit digital now, but when I go back to physical...I get distracted and lose track of shit.
