But seriously, that stupid anime trailer is giving people the wrong impression of Palutena (the strip taunt doesn't help either lol) when she's actually an amazing character
Oh man, it's going to be so much fun to see how Doc and Luigi compare. Whoever balanced Mario did a very good job. It looks like he can follow up on any given attack.

Apparently being titillating is the greatest aspiration of the roster of Smash, but I agree. I never got the feeling from Kid Icarus NES or Uprising 3DS that Palutena was some sort of risque demi-god who'd earned her place by exotic dancing all over the place.
Making characters "sexy" for no reason just panders to the creepy/alienating "Waifu" playerbase.

I agree with this sentiment. Palutena was one of my most anticipated characters, yet her trailer ended up being the most disappointing for me. Still excited to use her in battle, though!

The things we've seen so far (camera focus in the reveal, the taunt) don't seem to be out-of-character at all - playfulness and flirting are characteristics Palutena's exhibited constantly since Uprising. She's never been seen to be a dour, serious character, and this is just an extension of her existing traits.

That was Shaft being Shaft for all of 5 seconds tops.
And what can you even expect people to learn from a trailer as opposed to their real game. Not to mention the Uprising cast has had animated features done before.
Case in point, the Lucina/Robin trailer where even Chrom and Lucina had difficulty dealing with Captain Falcon and were losing. Do you think giving people the impression that they were weak characters was a good thing? People aren't gonna check out Awakening then. Sakurai done goofed.
I still haven't seen a credible source for this other than to use as fuel against the "waifu" fans.
...well i would think people who care about Smash would listen to the dialogue much like they did with Doc Louis, but oh well

Pulling off the Villager's down-B is so satisfying.
And, after 4 games, Mario is finally fun to play as.
And the Mother Brain AT look great and is a great reference. As is Dark Samus.
Isabelle animates adorably. She looked super sad when I got knocked out while she was helping me.
