I liked Goddell but he screwed up beyond belief and for no reason. The shield/fan support was strong enough that even if Ray's video was released right from the start and he suspended him for a full year, it wouldn't have hurt the NFL one bit.


But for it to dominate the narrative now? Right as the season starts? Terrible. I don't even get why he would want to cover it up or downplay it. I just think he/they got lazy and decided since they police treated it lightly, lets follow suit.
