what's the best [least boring] way to get glimmer this time? i just blew all mine on shaders and i regret it because i look like something out of the muppets.

Bullet sponges who can also fire a damn nearless stream of shots in your direction. I enjoy the Strikes overall and will probably spend a lot of time with them but the boss encounters are just pure tedium.
I literally made sure I killed a hunter, a warlock and a titan.
Maybe because I nova bombed one?
This makes no sense. Also, matchmaking sucks now.
Im only level 14 and everyone else was lower than me...
And we are paired against a team of 20+ to 17... what the fuck

Nobody seems to agree - has anyone found hard mode way more satisfying and more like halo gameplay?

I actually prefer pulse rifles, if you're a head shot kind of guy, it rips people apart, pvp or otherwise. Scout on the other hand kept getting me killed in CQC

i heard there was an armor piece that gives you an extra shot. perhaps you can find more.
that'd really make the hunter come out on top. 4-7 shots + throwing knife to extend duration.

Got the white PS4 bundle unboxed, set up, Destiny download done.
Created my female Exo Hunter.
Realized the audio is somehow borked; sounds like a harmonica run through lots of interference. Comes through speakers and headphones. The Blu-Ray player the PS4 replaced didn't audio issues.
The TV itself is around 7 years old. Are there any HDMI compatibility issues with a connection that old, with the PS4? I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this. (Video was fine, just the audio is borked.) Connection was tight and didn't change when I unplugged and re-plugged the HDMI cable.
Had to turn it off since I couldn't hear anything other than static. :\

A bit. They made hand cannons reasonable, and burst rifles aren't too bad. They nerfed Scout rifles bad, and auto-rifles are still pretty good.
Has anyone received their Limited Edition from WalMart yet? My order says it should have arrived today but it didn't and I still have not received a tracking number. I am going to be so pissed if they screw this up because I can't order an LE anywhere else anymore and when I ordered GameStop was still selling LE's online. I already am pretty annoyed because I just want to play the game and paid for expedited shipping.
Do you have to go through the revival/tutorial with every new character/class? Or, like subclasses, are you just unlocked and good to go?
I mostly want to play pvp (no buds to play coop with and the lack of decent matchmaking for fireteams sucks balls). Going through the single player content, even the minimal amount that there is, alone, to get to the Crucible blows.

Have you try turning off HDCP?
I was wrong - I thought he meant the triple kill badge/popup in multi, not the trophy.

Well I tried to play PvP
I'm now convinced Destiny is playing chicken with Battleifled 4 to see who can toss an FPS on a console and get away with the worst tickrate. I swear to god the amount of times I melee someone, and then they melee me and kill my instantly... Then the damage from my melee kills them 1-2 seconds later and after I'm dead so I still get the kill. Amazing. 10/10

yeah I definitely feel the pain in close quarters. I find that I don't do that much better with pulse rifles either though
No, I'll rummage around and try to do that.
I meant the update to the game, I'm playing off the bundled disc.

How does the loot you get in mission rewards work. I'm level 14 and I'm about to the Hard version of a mission that's level 12. When I turn it in will it give me a level 14 weapon or will it be a level 12 weapon. Or maybe level 8 since that's the normal difficulty.
If you're on PS4 add me. FRENDEN there. I'm playing only Control at the moment and would be happy to partner up with someone who wanted to cap points and not just pad a KDR.
You mean the part that opens up for the iron banner?
That area is for the Iron Banner (if I'm thinking of the right area). Only opens when Iron Banner is active in the Crucible.
Bungie hasn't put up an event calendar, so I have no idea when the next Iron Banner goes up.

The quest items you get to turn in are tied to the level of the mission.

I hear ya! I've had a similar problem with Crucible and Control.
Happened to me and others here as well.
Most people are saying it has to be in quick succession and that most are getting it by grenade or super. I've done this several times as well today and nothing but my kills were not quick.

Control is definitely rage inducing if playing with randoms. Especially with how there is no chat. After I get my five I'm done.

I went out to buy the game for PS3 today and was surprised to see that it still came with the Vanguard Armory code inside the case. I guess that just means no one's buying the PS3 version lol.
