I wonder if people arent having fun because they are playing alone. My internet was acting up last night and my connection was just good enough to get me in the game but no one was connecting. Without others in my game it didnt feel as fun and the world felt extremely lifeless.

I've just got an exotic rocket launcher. You get a trophy for equipping one and it says that only 0.1% have got that trophy. Must be very rare indeed!

Speaking of trophies. Have you guys checked out the list and rarity? Only 2.9% have captured 50 points in Control!
To be fair the game only came out two days ago :p

Yeah, even the trophy for dismantling 50 weapons or armor was rare a day or two ago, now it's unlocked by over 20% of players.

For the new page...

Got Bladedancer and am kind of disappointed by it. Blink Strike seems bad and would can't really see how the throwing knife isn't just flat out better then it. The super is pretty cool, but can't really do much with it in actual hard fights as you will just get killed. Kinda wish I went with one of the other classes now.

Check out this video I recorded yesterday, it really shows how awesome the Bladedancer skill can be if you dash around with it.

I just hit 24 and it's been pretty standard fare thus far. Some weapons have cool effects, and I know of some exotic weapons, but nothing too crazy

Yea I am only level 7 but the weapons so far haven't been as cool as Borderlands 2 weaps'.

Enjoying the atmosphere though, the worlds are gorgeous

SunSinger allows the user to have a much faster grenade cooldown time, also anyone near them has reduced cooldown times too, but the radius feels too small.

A lot of things could be better, more team buffs would be nice.

So I played about with Sunsinger last night and I thought the Super would be shit ebcause it says somethign like "powers up abilities" and I took it as meaning they get a damage boost to your melee and grenade which would make it kinda suck as it'd only be useful when both are up. It turns out it boost the recharge on your grenade by a HUGE amount letting you fire off 4 or 5 grenades while the super is up. It seems like I've been killing more with the standard grenade too though it doesn't seem much more powerful from the damage numbers (unless it is doing 'hits' quicker than the regular void one) but maybe it's because people are still unfamiliar with it compared to the void one and are just walking into it?

I have not seen a single public event. Am I missing something? In beta there was one like every 45 minutes. I have done lots of patrol missions also, but nothing.

The Grimoire cards are great!

In fact, they're much, much, much better than what's in the game. To the point that I really have to wonder what the hell happened :P

I agree. I really enjoyed reading the ones I have unlocked so far. And they definitely give some insight into the locations and events prior and during the game.

Enjoying the game, it looks gorgeous.

But is the entire game basically without story/cutscenes?

I am a few story missions into the Moon and there hasnt been any story/cutscenes beyond the first video that plays when you start the game, and the brief cutscene after the first real mission.

Do you ever get story/cutscenes later on? I expected it to be light on stories but it seems extreme to me.
If a mission has the wings emblem then that means that it'll have a cutscene, the smaller missions are basically mini side stories.

Well done, it resembles the Halo energy sword.

It's basically the energy sword, except you can lunge whenever you want to. It's even better if you use it while jumping, like jump then instantly dash.

It's also awesome when someone is behind you when you have it, then you just jump up, lunge/dash backwards to get behind them, then get the kill.

No, I think everyone has noticed they occur less frequently than the Beta. I think it was cranked up in the Beta so ensure everyone could experience them.

Oooooh. That makes a lot more sense now. Was it just Grenades cool down or melee as well?

So it seems Bungie has made the end game content inaccessible to the point where I have to wonder how they expect this game to still be active a month from now...much less years from now.

I think they should either let you easily switch between a couple primary and special weapons OR only let you switch when you're at the Tower or dead. This weird middle ground where you can switch pretty easily, but have to do it by awkwardly opening up the menu and quickly clicking the new weapon is just crappy no matter what the intention is. And then you lose your ammo for your special weapon if you switch but only in Crucible I think?

They should either explicitly allow and encourage switching it up mid-combat or make it impossible and force you to make choices about what weapons you decide to load up for a fight.

Wait a gosh darn minute...the dailies and weeklies don't even have matchmaking? What in the actual fuck were they thinking?

That's insane. What the hell.

I'm getting less bee errors today, but now they occur near the end of strikes and crucibles instead of at the beginning..

I haven't actually played Titan so take everything with a grain of salt here. I do not advocate calling for nerfs when you haven't spent a decent amount of time with that weapon/gear/class or whatever yourself to actually get a feel for it... but it seems like Titans are definitely OP atm so I wouldn't be surprised if they get the nerf bat.

A one hit melee attack, an insta-kill super that is almost impossible to waste, and that bubble shield that is god-tier... Seems a little too good IMO.

I'll have to play Titan soon to see for myself...

I'm so glad I have people to play with, the 2 missions I did solo its just completely different. I hate this game solo and I love this game with friends. Without friends its the most anti social / social game ever.

lack of rythm to the campaign and Bungie's willingness to not elevate it above other modes means random people playing solo rarely join together.

Game would be better if Bungie/Acti had sorted out a way to accelerate building PSN/Live communities with the console makers prior to launching the game.
Bungie.net is not a competent tool to meet and interact with people. The citadel is even worse.

Just grenades from what I saw but I dunno if it's something like a modifier to your stats or if it's just for grenade. (like I had 72% or something on grenade cooldown thanks to discipline and 0% modifier on melee from 0 strength).

My melee did not recharge at a noticeable faster rate while in super mode.

It will certainly be an interesting case study in whether or not things like LFG/LFR hurt or help games. I think it will hurt and push a lot of people away, but just my opinion.

I feel that grenade cooldowns shouldn't carry over between lives in the Crucible. When you spawn, you should be given a grenade. Shouldn't have to wait for the cooldown over multiple lives.

There was a bastard in Old Russia that fucked me over hard during the beta. It was an Ogre in a cave off a small cliff. It was immortal back then because of the level cap.

I'm level 18 now. Is he still there? Can I go there and get payback or am I still underpowered?

Should I reroll to Titan? Currently playing a lock.

He' still there and still hits hard af. I tried him day 1 and learnt. I havent been back to try him.

I don't even think it's a matter of opinion anymore. MP games today need to have match making. Period. It's a basic feature that is an absolute must. There is absolute zero reason not to have it. If you don't want to use it, you don't have to. For the overwhelming majority that do want and/or need it, it's there for them too.

What are the options for obtaining strange coins?
Where can I get more armor with light for leveling up? As in is there a strategy or a location to easily farm enemies for these goods?
