Venus yes, definitely. Mars... doesn't work quite as well, but the ruins are sufficiently impressive to carry the day.
Datamining from the Beta showed a vendor named Xur of the Nine who apparently shows up only on weekends and takes Strange Coins in return for gear.
Guys please help! I entered in all the codes that came with my ps4 LE of Destiny but I haven't seen any of the exclusive content. How do I see this stuff? In lv23 and finished everything in the game but can't find Dust Palace or the MP map or even the preorder Vanguard Armory wtf
The Dust Palace Strike is on Mars (look on the bottom right when opening the map). It will randomly drop the exclusive gear. The Vanguard Armory stuff is useless to you at level 23. It's available for purchase from the Vanguard Quartermaster (the robot in the hangar at the Tower), but it maxes out at level 10 (I think).
Any chance that anyone here has a spare Gamestop Advanced Warfare preorder Destiny Shader code I can have to save me a trip to Gamestop later to preorder the game to get that Shader?
I'm sure everyone has used their's, but I figure it can't hurt to ask.

I haven't played the other classes, but are the other class specials as...delayed as Hunter? What I mean is, for Hunter you go into your special, and the character does an animation where they pump their arm in the air and get set on fire. IMO this is terrible, because it leaves you vulnerable. You pretty much have to use this special when you anticipate there will be someone in another room (so you use it before you enter the fight). That's problematic because it has a very short period that you can use it (you can extend with upgrades, but it's still not long).
Do other specials have the same kind of animation? Or is Warlock's special like a projectile?

So during the Warmind mission, I reach a loading screen and the game always kicks me out. I'm done with this shit. I was really anticipating this game and, from what I've played, it plays really well, but Bungie really let me down here. The game's essentially unplayable for me.
This is my Titan atm. I'm doing a lot of Strikes to get light drops so I can get at least one more level tonight.
Awesome. I'm level 12 Hunter, and haven't gotten a single blue drop yet. Are strikes the best way to get it? Or is it just completely random, and your chances of getting them are just doing a bunch of activities? I just started playing Crucible for the first time, and I'm finding that I'm getting a lot more green drops + leveling up much quicker than I was doing side missions and story missions.
I haven't gotten them either and am annoyed. Bungie account registered 3 plus years ago, played Halo 3, ODST, and Reach, so the emblem for the 4 games should exist with Destiny....
I think I fucked myself on the Alpha one as I had a second registered acct for that before I remembed and associated my accounts properly.

Strikes will net you class specific rares yeah. I have run the moon strike twice and gotten 2 rares each time.
I have had Engrem drops within moon missions, earth patrols, etc. Gotten most of my Engrems from missions actually.
Engrems are much better, as if you finish the moon strike at lv. 15 like I did, you will get gear for lv. 10 or whatever. It isn't level based. But your Engrem when decrypted seems to decrypt your level or above at random. Never had one come out to be a lower level item

Really starting to get annoyed with the Crucible lag. Nearly every kill registers a second later, resulting in constant kill trades.

Loving it. It's a new Halo combat area every moment. I don't understand the issues with epic stuff? Just wait.
Vehicles become a lot more heavy in use. I think the story is fine. Read the Grimoire stuff. You and your character are coming in blind.

Ok can anyone tell me how to get to Traveler's Walk in the Tower? Does that open up when iron banner starts? I need to go there to get the last dead ghost in the tower.
Also in the Tower, if you go up the stairs on the left there is a button prompt to "activate fan" when you use it nothing happens and it just shows back up. Anyone know what that is?

1. The Traveler's Walk opens for Iron Banner and I think a few other special events.
2. If somebody's standing on the fan in the middle of the postmaster/special order building, they'll fly into the air when you press the button.

on top of the postmaster building there is a fan. if anyone is on it when you activate, they get blown up into the air.
I understand this but being able to talk to my 6 person team without any workarounds would be nice.
You won't miss it. It's announced, gets a waypoint, your Ghost may comment on it, etc.

What is the point of clans if there's no clan roster in game?
I'm hoping over time Bungie will add a much more comprehensive clan system in the game.
XP after 20 turns into Motes of Light and of course you use it for the upgrade for your weapons.
So it seems like we're at the point where we need a makeshift endgame guide for gearing.
Anyone got any useful knowledge to share about this? After learning about how motes of light work, I feel people don't want to waste their time upgrading weapons they may not want in the long run.

I'm confused what you mean by workarounds. If you're in a fireteam, there is voice chat. Plain and simple.
Whether your teammates choose to utilize it, is up to them. That's not the game's fault, such is the nature of today's consoles and party chat.
