Guys, I'm starting to get stoked for Agent Carter... an 8 episode run should ensure it won't be the drawn out mess that Agents of SHIELD is, and now news that the Howling Commandos are in the pilot episode! Hayley Atwell deserved more screen time after Cap 1 and I'm so glad she's getting it.

Why is everyone in this thread either super short or monstrously large? 6'0" 180lb masterclass represent.

edit - I always imagined Messi was super dainty...

I've been called many things in my time. But never dainty. I am rugged as fuck. Like a bear.

I'm pretty pumped for both. SHIELD improved a lot in the back half of the season and if they can keep that momentum going, S2 will be solid.

Just read Batman Futures End. My God, when does this awful story end? Dying in his 30s? Come off it.

Well he is a man flying around in a batsuit getting into scraps.

Maybe so, but it just seems silly. Didn't understand the need for the story at all, 5 years in the future we get a clone, because Gotham NEEDS Batman. Why didn't he make one earlier then if Grayson isn't good enough to take up the mantle again (Despite him asking him too in Batman & Robin 35)

I am just taking them as fun what if stories. There is no chance dc looks like this in 5 years time.

I did hear Batman's one was pretty shit. Batgirls upset me quite a bit last night.

DC should have just clearly labeled this as "Elseworlds" or "What If?", but of course that wouldn't have sold as many issues so they chose to go with the borderline-dishonest route. I'm not saying Marvel would have done it any better... I just dislike these kind of tactics.

It won't be a romance angle this time I guess. Maybe early on in his training Bruce will have stumbled upon or visited the Amazon island and must have struck a friendship with Diana while training with her or must have liked her but she was like "bruce pls, ur lyk mah bro" and thus Bruce became an unloving bat-slut.
Young Bruce Wayne was aboard a merchant vessel bound for the South China Sea when it was "attacked" by an Amazon breeding party.

It was Diana's first time. :O

lol

Daredevil #6: I don't believe that Daredevil, with all the connections he went through,
couldn't get any help for his mother. Shield gave him the same canned response you get from customer service agencies? It felt forced to me.

The Elseworld label pretty much guaranteed crappy sales. Don't imagine DC has any interest in uttering the word again, even though they seem to be doing these alternate events more and more frequently.

Ah ha delsin beanie

Fuck it. Here's me yesterday. That other picture is years old

Let's keep shattering those preconceived notions :D

Hahahaha, that had been my every-day beanie for ~4 years but it fell out of favor with me after a guy stopped me in the bathroom of Sac-Con and complimented me on my "Delsin cosplay"... I hadn't even heard of him yet, but a quick Google search showed me I was dressed eerily similar that day. My friends still won't let me live that one down.

Here's a more recent one (with my awesome COPRA tee):

Nah man, this is a totally legit future. Just like Rotworld.

So I'm 41yrs LTTP on reading the Gwen Stacy death with my Spiderman chronological read, but damn, that neck snap and him not knowing was cold. Then Norman getting his shit kicked in and impaled by his own glider. Things went nuts in just a handful of panels!

Also, just a few issues later, Luke Cage comes in with a Batman/Bruce Wayne reference?

I'm 5'11, I just hate buying shoes because they're always out or they don't make those awesome Harley or Catwoman Converse in big enough girl sizes for me to see if they fit :/

I wear more harley shirts than someone of my age should to be honest.

haha..I'm probably older and I have a bunch too..

Dawnstar was literally the only Legionnaire in the Justice League United: Future's End issue. She did mention Wildfire, but they made no big deal about her. She was just a member of the Justice League. I think Jeff Lemire watched the justice league adventures trapped in time movie and said, "Yeah, Dawnstar is cool."

The overall story is cool. Basically,
Martian Manhunter is a Space Warden on a Space Prison on Mars. There is an uprising and they head there to deal with it. Funny moments include a few people freaking out that there is a secret prison on Mars and Dawnstar being all like, what's the big deal, where I come from we have a whole planet set aside for that. Big reveal at the end is that Captain Atom is in the prison and the leader of the breakout.

Can't wait to see the conclusion next week.

To me it looks like they just 'shopped some plaid into the picture. Like, it's not even creased or anything. Looks superbad and lazy :/

Yeah, it's a weird effect. The pattern is clearly the same layer on both skirts and is unbroken. A weird decision for what otherwise looks to be a very stylish book.

Okay, I'm getting impatient with IST. Nice prices be damned, I'll probably stick with Amazon from now on.

I'm so impatient, in fact, that I ran to Barnes and Noble and bought a new TPB full-price, just to have something to read.
