Yes, I am just butthurt because he insulted the sacred cow Nintendo. That is exactly that. Except I brought up multiple points he forgot to mention, such as Nintendo whitewashing Daisy to the shocking lack of main Black characters to the fact that black characters are usually tan instead of actually black to the general facts that anyone with dark skin gets sidelined at best. I sure think Nintendo can do no wrong!
Clearly I don't think about race and sex representation in gaming if I could bring that all up (and have brought up) within a few seconds. Clearly I think Nintendo is perfect if I am listing all these complaints on just ONE topic. I clearly am offended if people are represented properly if I'm saying that the attitude of the OP is nothing but a concern troll attempt to turn people away from the actual people who want to be represented in gaming.
Yet he never address any points (most of which actually agrees with his point that he has hidden in that abomination of a post) I make. First let me address the last part: yes and no, you get revved up to 120 way to fast and it just comes of as, in your own words "Drone". You can't have a discussion with someone who is yelling. You either walk away, or treat them as a child. If all you are doing is propagating the "Drone" surface why should anyone actually care? Last time you revved up way to much and I decided just to ignore it even though you had some points made. The topic is about, lets be honest here, the most successful Japanese video game company. Those that have the most clout with kids. The diversity, racial, in their games are important.
Instead you try and make the OP as tight as possible, as you want it to look. The thread is there for that. you could have chosen to talk about it, discuss your points. Instead you came in as an attacker to the OP. No discussion.
But as to the pathetic part? It has no correlation to anyone since the bump. I just think it's pathetic when people drive by and go "ooh it doesn't matter to me so no one else should care". Devdan is the only black character in a Fire Emblem game as I can remember but perhaps the people posting this has never played anything pre Awakening.
But really does it matter if Jed isn't the most brilliant wordsmith? There is a forum to discuss it, there is a
topic. How many people actually came in here and tried to have a discussion to instead just get upset that some fucking jackass posted Donkey Kong? There is always a platform to discuss. Perhaps Jed meant this as sarcasm, perhaps it was a bait thread, some nuked casualties if I remember right. I know that to me it is a sad state of affairs and yes I prefer Tuesdays or any other day to this thread if I'm honest. Since the jackasses yelling racial slurs at me at least cares. Nintendo doesn't, many here don't but that jackass does.
And for the celebratory part of Nintendo's characters and it not being able to introduce new characters....don't you see the problem right there? Nintendo doesn't make any black/colored/(sorry not sure which lingo to use as apparently I was racist last time I a black man called myself black) memorable characters, at least not any they think are worthy to have any kind of significance in their Bread and Butter.
