Yoshinori Ono to announce a PlayStation game at TGS? Was spotted visiting SCEA.

All console titles are probably oriented primarily to the western markets now, given the problematic sales trends in Japan. Would make sense to drive everything through Sony's American team.
Also likely makes Deep Down being Japan-only a real problem for them.

It happened with Injustice. If they(Ono's team) didn't have the money to port it as Ono said a while back, and Sony came forward and said they would foot the bill, that's one way.

They announced USF4 via that games-on-demand-via-internet thing....which sounded like the worst possible idea ever, but I doubt they would have done that if they were up-porting it, nor would Ono himself be heading that team, imo.

Pretty sure Capcom said something along the lines of "That's not happening anytime soon since the PSN and XBLA versions of Darkstalkers Ressurection didn't sell like gangbusters."
So I doubt its that.
Dunno if there is an update on this though.

that was before USF4 got announced for PS Now. If they do a up port I think it's too soon to announce because of announcing so soon after the USF4 disc release last month.
edit: For the most part Ono talking about stuff on twitter doesn't end up being that surprising.
Sales like that are pretty frontloaded. Any sales USF4 was going to make on last gen have already been made. They probably want to get it out of the way to focus on other projects, like how they are going to turn SF5 F2P at the Presidents request
