Just had my best game of PvP so far. 13 kills. Still a KD of .78 but way better then I was doing yesterday lol..sigh.

My best so far is 27/10 on that close quarters map with the rotating piece. The names are so forgettable. Yeesh.

I was using an "uncommon" 99 rated AR and a 81 rated Fusion Rifle. Those things are lovely in CQB. Also, the one-shot-kill with the golden gun for us Hunters is beautiful in the tight maps.

This is something that should be changed ASAP, it's quite mental really...

Loving every other part of The Crucible, apart from the weird "reward anyone" payouts.
Fix that, and the ongoing incentive to achieve will be a great thing to come back to.

Bungie do not listen to this man. If Strikes and PvE aren't going to give me jack for loot, the only option is grinding away at Crucible which I'm horrible at.

I am still a level 12, would you higher level guys say the game's RPG and levelling system is deep enough if at all

Depends on your standards of deep, I guess. There's some interesting choices to be made in terms of sidegrades later on, but a lot of the time you'll have one option that's just *better* than the others, and you only really get the full range of options after a ton of leveling.

Is there a long-range variant of the fusion rifle? I can't seem to kill anyone who's not within melee distance with it, yet I seem to be getting one shotted from pretty far by some people.

But I suck! how would I ever get anything?
Unfortunately, I'm serious..

I'm no pro either, but I do get 1st/2nd quite often....then get nothing for it whilst the guy feeding the other team with death like glory gets a rare AR or something :(

Ironically, whenever I get low on the leaderboard, I'm never the one getting the hookup either.. I think whoever deals out the prizes has it in for me (probably a miffed off Exo... Exos don't like me much) ;)

OK....seriously though, how about reward the top 3 players with gear (on a roll, random would be fine) and a random to anyone glimmer payout is given per match (say, 50 glimmer)... that would still give everyone a chance at winning something, but not make you salty when you win and get nothing (like, all the time..... seriously, the Exo hates me) :D

I'm with you man, some games I'm doing great, other games I'm trash, I like knowing that you're (potentially) rewarded for finishing the match, win or lose. My placement on the team really doesn't matter to me. I play to have fun, and to me, personally, winning doesn't necessarily mean I had more fun on that match.

Man you guys are so far ahead of me... I'm still level 13. I tried the Moon strike mission last night with a friend and a random. We got worked that shit was really hard....

So how do you get the ps4 exclusive gear again guys? did the Dust Palace strike and didn't get anything relating to them.

Pro tip: the moon boss's weak point is that glowing tumor thing on his chest. So long as you aim for that, and remember to keep the number of adds down, you should be okay.

I really need to start remembering to save my videos at the end of these epic confrontations in this game. Some crazy shit going on I would love to jump into ShareFactory and edit but keep forgetting!

Holy shit... had totally forgotten about the exclusive gear - I thought you got it once you did that strike as well (or had a chance of getting it or something).

What level is that strike Marvel? I got to get to 20... this whole working thing is really getting me down, damned bills/family requiring a breadwinner lol :)

I actually quite like the random loot for the crucible.

I'm generally in the top 3 but honestly don't mind if other folk get loot and I don't. Just makes me want to play another match. Once you hit level 20 when you do get loot it is generally amazing too.

I'd imagine if you weren't the greatest at PvP then it's at least still fun if you get loot.

We are all in this together......

you feel really burned when you lead a team to victory and other people get loot but you have to reward people that suck too otherwise the rich get richer guys.

Yeah but it's not like you can't remedy that. All of us in here are playing =p

Dunno, just from personal experience I would rather not do that strike than do it without communication and knowing the people I'm with are solid haha. Vanguard playlist stuff is fine, it's just level scaled. This is a different level, and having someone that's bad or that drops out means massively wasted time.

I've yet to see a strike that requires communication beyond the on screen notifiers.

With the audio mix of the game its super hard to hear people in your headset anyways.

I don't know actually around 20 I suppose, I'm 22 now and only just noticed it.

Dying for that gear.

I saw on Reddit that someone got the Monte Carlo in a Crucible match, so it's probably available from any means you get any loot, not just the strike.

First legendary I drop, it's a Leg Armor and I'm so pumped! Then I see it's not for the class I'm using... =(

At least when I get a Titan to Lvl20, I know I'll have a legendary waiting for him ;)

Pretty disappointing that not even the strikes have unique areas. I was just in that same place on the Moon like 3 missions ago. Come on Bungie...

I'm still enjoying it a lot though.

Thinking of the Lore of the Crucible and all that. It doesnt make any sense for these Factions to exist to only build weaponry for the Crucible participants.

According to the lore the Crucible is just for heavy action training against tough targets for Guardians, with their Ghosts at the ready to bring them back anytime they are killed. So why would Factions waste time building equipment for JUST the training?

...

Meh lol

13 for some exotic armour, 23 for a weapon, 23 for chest engram is what I spotted.

edit: wooooooah I'm quite late. Should refresh before replying :P

Engram cost seems really high, considering that you may not even get something you can use. Or it'll just be strange coins or something :\

Wish the models on the site matched the PS4/XBO version but oh well, here is my guy.

Also my Auto Rifle can get an upgrade which will max out stability, can't wait to get that mod for PvP lol

Woot got my first Legendary!!

Rocket launcher called the Unfriendly Giant. Please give me a screenshot function MS, damn.

I always feel like I'm missing something at the end of missions when the timer starts, they should have had loot fall from the sky or something

Same, I'm like "Damn these thirty seconds must mean there's something in a hidden crevice or corner somewhere to find. Peek around all the walls!"

It's not *just* training, as I understand it. It's also how factions mediate political disputes, which is why they give people wearing their colors nice gear. It's a pretty wacky way to run a government, but w/e.

They should keep the random drops so people can still get gear if theyre lower level and having a hard time, but just add a special likelihood for those who perform well.
This definitely makes sense. I'm not great by any means (inconsistent is probably the best way of describing my performance) it'd be nice to know there's a chance I'll get something if I don't do well, and a better chance if I do.

That said, I assume later in the game the gear is going to be driven by marks?
